Rant thread

I. Am. Done.

I swear, I am done with this whole shitfest going on in my family. My parents complain to me how my grades are low, how I give them attitude, and when I try to explain myself, THEY. DONT. LISTEN.
For nearly a year my family has been discriminating against me for being the Tech and The smart one. I could upload a virus to our whole computer system and overload everything! Won't affect me. I have a phone for everything. Skype, TeamSpeak, Minecraft, and these forums. And when I do and they ask for my help, I'll just say no. When I DDoS my own network and overload it, when they ask me to help, I'll deny it.
My entire family, not household, the entire family that lives around me discriminates me and I am tired of it. Last Christmas my cousin stole my phone and showed my Derpy Hooves wallpaper to the entire family. For a week I was called nothing but "cowboy". And everyone talked to me in a dumb western accent. My dad yells at me for talking back to him, when just about once a week, He comes home in a shifty mood and complains about every. Single. Crack. In. The. Floor. My family says they love me, but they always discriminate me. I slapped my brother during Easter because for 2 weeks he called me a whore behind mom and dad's back. At first my brother thought I was lying, but I had a tape recorder strapped to my back! I simply paused and played it. My brother was thrown in his room and unable to play anything for 2 weeks.

That is my life. My IRL life sucks. One of the big Reasons that I am extremely nice here is that I don't want to loose you guys. Rant Done.

Update on grades:I only have 2 F's and 2 D's, but since I stood up for myself against my mom, Now my grades have to be C's

 

Your grades are getting better (GJ Keep it up), your family seems normal. Even with your descriptions, they still sound like what normal people do. My brother Heybye is very techy, we constantly say that any second he could put a virus on the computer. So what? You were made fun of (Jokingly, at that) because you like something, at least they aren't physically abusing you and calling you extremely harsh names. You little brother is exactly that, a little kid, set him straight, you are the older brother. You really shouldn't talk back to your parents, instead actually talk to them, instead of getting tired and giving up. Your life is really good, don't throw it away just because of little incidents like these.

Apparently, you don't know/ haven't realized that there are people out there who would rob, steal even kill to get a life like yours. Be thankful that you have a family that doesn't ignore you/ abuse you, and cares enough to pester you about grades, jokingly make fun of you, SAY they love you, and punish their children when they do wrong. (That's how my family operates)

Sorry for my counter-rant, I'm just tired of people thinking they life is horrible compared to the millions of homeless, abused and abandoned children...

 

Typical family. When they say they love you, most of the time, it's true. I get this everytime from my mother: "We're only doing this because we love you, and we don't want you to grow up being bad" and blah blah blah. I do understand how you feel, when my dad gets in a bad mood he takes it out on all of us. Try not to take it too hard on yourself, maybe you should have a little talk with your family or something, clear it all up.

 

Damn, that really...sucks. I hate my dads side of the family. Don't get me wrong, I like my dad. But most of his side of the family is just...wrong. My cousin gets everything he wants. My other cousin is just loved. He's 6 about. He tries to choke me, in front of most of the family, and I get in trouble for pushing him off. Sorry for defending myself, Jesus.

But, this isn't about my life crisis, this is about yours. They care for you. If you want to get a job in the future, support yourself and/or your own family, you need to get a job. And collage helps a lot with this. This is why you need better grades. F's and D's won't do it. C's are good, but not really enough.

Now, about the "Derpy Hooves Incident", that's just wrong. Sure, they can joke around a little, but by how you describe it, that's just overdoing it. If you like MLP, your 'family' should respect what you do. Doing that just shows they don't respect you.

And your dad doing that, that's normal. Its probably just work problems. Depending on where he works, its probably really stressful. My dad had a stressful job, and he was always like that.

That tape recorder thing is genius. At least you got justice to be done.

And trust me, my IRL sucks. Bullied almost every day at school, you guys are really my only friends (Most of you, anyways) and I don't want to lose you.

The best advice I can give you is not to talk back. If you could check yourself sometimes, then they wouldn't be so hard on you. It shows that you have matured, and maybe they'd give you more freedom. Good luck, man. You have my respect.

 

Well when ever I try to have a mature talk with them, they ignore me, take it as a joke, and don't listen. I get a bit more aggressive to show how I am not a bitch, who pleads for everything. I'm not, I make my points, I give examples, and make a speech which WOULD Persuade them, but if my raise my voice over -15 Gain, they say that I am "Giving them Attitude." I am actually taught to do this in Debate, raise my voice. It tells the Judge that I mean business and tells the opponent not to f*** around with me. They complain that I Give them Attitude, yet they knew that I am taught to talk in a manner that intimidates the opponent. So, here is my theory:

My parents are Intimidated by me because I am nearly the tallest in my family. They get Intimidated and scared that their place as,"Master" may be lowered to a more casual "Mom and Dad". They then make bullcrap excuses to secure their spot.


The Unusual thing about this whole Dilemna is that my brother is a bitch in the family, and he is on the left chair of the parental throne.

@Mcc: Actually my brother beats me by 4 years and 1.5 in of height. He is also the brute of the family, so unless I have some range or stride during a fight, he will absolutely demolish me. If he was younger, I would've beaten the s*** out of him by now.
