I had to write some poems for a summer project so I decided why not share them with the world, they're not the best, and some don't make sense, truthfully I'd just like an opinion. Letters: Dawned upon a perfect day, As joyous as one can be, Until the boy was sent away, from the place beside me, The road is long and tough, He writes me in the letter, Life without me is rough, He says, and nothing is getting better, The letters come in day and night, Crumbled, with a dark seal on top, Though it still brought a certain light, At least until the letters stopped, Days weeks months years, I waited for them written in lead, Soon it became very clear, That the one I waited for, Was dead. Away from light: Darkness comes to see the light of day, Only to be pushed back into the shadows, The burning light pushes the darkness away, Making it feel nothing but hatred and fear, Darkness wanted to have the might, To be it's friend, to hold it tight, But the truth in this is just so clear, Because darkness must flee the light. The Meaning: The sun rises in the east, and sets in the west, The wind blows from the north, and settles in the south, What is the meaning of this, What does it symbolize, Is it something we miss, Or something we must sympathize, No it is just the meaning, Of the life on this world, It never seems to change, But it never stays the same.
