I've noticed in many flame wars that people used posts by Flare and Pyro. I get a bit irritated when I see this because they were banned for a reason, no? Posting any present ideas and topics here for them is basically bypassing a ban for them. Because of this, I have come up with a topic to discuss. Please refrain from insulting, so

If someone is banned and/or banished, should they have a say in our topics?

I believe, in all respect, that we should NOT allow banned people to have an opinion in our topics. Although there is Freedom of Speech, that priviledge is taken when said person is home to a prison. In all retrospect, Banning people on our forum is essentially locking them In prison. Because of this, we should not allow banned users to have valid arguments in our topics.

 

I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying. I am wondering if we should allow someone, who's banned, to have valid ideas in our discussions and debates.

 

Umm. People need to move on. If they are banned, they are banned. We shouldn't dig up the past in present topics unless it does prove a point.

 

I agree with what Magical said and also say that why should they come back when they were banned on something?.

 

Well, if you saw on Mappy's thread in RS, she quoted the opinions of Flare, who was banned. Should those opinions be valid, or invalid?

 

They were once members of the forums. They can still see us discussing things, and they have thoughts about it.
But, rules of etiquette say that blacklisted users shouldn't mingle.
Clashing ideas. It's actually a complicated issue.

I think it's okay. Although not appreciated, banned users just may have made a good point or even better point that active members.

Some suggestions really don't need a thread, it prevent people from accepting it because they're usually worded for a specific incident. If you want change its best you begin it. Actions are louder than words.

 

People are banned for a reason.
Someone giving the opinion and words of someone who is banned is bypassing that ban in itself. The person who made the post is more or less an alt then, in a sense.
Not only do I feel that the people who are banned should not have a say in any of the forums threads...
I also feel that whoever conveys their opinions in anything else aside from a conversation should be warned for acting as an alt, if not being banned too in a way.
Just my opinion though.

 

Ohhh the irony. This thread is about not relaying messages, yet that's what I am about to do...

Yes perc, we were banned for a reason. I was banned for "Being annoying" and Flare was banned for "You're still mad...retard". So, basicly, I don't have to be annoying, and Flare doesn't have to be a retard.

Moving on, if people want to relay our messages, then so be it. They can do so if they please. Notice, how neither Elite, not Mappy were banned for relaying our messages. Maybe its because they are doing something good? Maybe the owners don't mind it? IDK.

Look, if alt accounts are allowed (Teolegit), or being harassed and shit by others is allowed, then one measly message can be relayed.

Hell, right now, im in the middle of talking with a mod to get someone who is harassing us banned. So, are you saying you want them to continue harassing us? Then again, you are one of the ones who back stabbed me, so you probably are


Edit: the only reason I relay messages is because I'm one of these guy's friends. My opinion is let them speak, you guys won't listen any other way.

 

But there is one undeniable thing: They were banned because they aren't wanted by the staff, They caused too much trouble. Pyro, Flare, I'm sorry, but you need to accept the truth. Just about wherever you went here, you provoked anger. Yes, there were silly threads, and yes, behavior was appropriate there. But, when it came to just a tad bit of seriousness, both of you went too far, as if you were expecting some epic fight. I know, I've been there, and I still am, but what seperates us in that area is that I refrain from behaving like that in public and in many private chats.

My point is, you're banned. No amount of messages and relays can fix that, and if we must, punish those who constantly relay your messages.

My final word to Pyro and Flare: You aren't wanted here, and no one can/will fix that. Pyro, you can cuss me out all you want on TeamSpeak, but before you do, ask yourself this,

"What am I trying to achieve?"

"What is my goal?"

 

Well Jerry or/and Harry Banned them. They are banned for a reason! Becauses Jerry and/or Harry wants them Banned and will not unban them.

 

I'm brain split on this issue (even though I most support Mcc's point of view), and I feel as though this will turn into a debate thread, and we all know how well debate threads end.

No, Pyro is typing msgs in some other area, and asking Mappy to relay it to this thread. Mappy is doing it with her own consent.

 

I'm just not even going to respond because some of this is slightly over-exaggerated (which I admit I may have done a bit myself but that is besides the point right now)
Guys, this is why we can't do relaying messages from others: because conflicts like these begin.
If we are to maintain relative calm on the forums I feel that relaying messages cannot really go on.

 

The only thing that I see that is going to come out of this is a flame war. If there ends up being a flame war, this thread is going to be closed. Just stop guys.
