PvP Montage (Tried new stuff)

G'day you sexy mofos. So I made a new pvp montage today and I tried new shit with editing. I usually just add a filter, fade in/out, slow-mo or speed ups. They work pretty well, they look nice and stuff, but I wanted to try something else, something new to me. I tried to add bumps and flashes at the start of my clip (yeh it goes with the music). It looks alright I guess, I liked the way it turned out, especially for my first time on trying to add them. I didn't want to add it through-out the whole clip cause I thought it would just be to much and it would get old quickly. Plus I don't want to go all try hard on just a Minecraft clip. Yeh so there it is. I want to learn more, obviously. I enjoy editing stuff, I reckon it's fun, sometimes though I just can't be bothered to do it because I'm lazy. I was meant to try to do these bumps and flashes like 2 months ago but ya know, lazy. I finally came around to it though.

Anyway, I would like to know if any of you people have any little tips and tricks on how to edit. I edit with Sony Vegas Pro 12 so keep that in mind, I don't want any tips and tricks comments about any other program, only this one please. Anything you like to do while editing using this program, comment that. Anything like key shortcuts that are useful, or just another cool editing thingo (like bumps and flashes).
