I've been playing SG on another server all the time but I wound up always losing. Will anyone be able to help me? I know you guys will call me noob but this is my excuse, 'My computer lags a lot so it won't help me win.' Don't post if it's going to be bad. I try tactics like strafing, block hitting and crit hits, but when I run up to the person i front of me, they get more attack.

If you are interested in helping me, please post. Again please don't post if you will abuse.

Get a mechanical gaming keyboard if you plan on doing SG.

Also, get a good pc. if you want recommended specs, here i guess.

    GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 460 / Radeon R7 260 / Radeon HD5450
    CPU: Intel Core i5 4570 / AMD A8-7600
    Ram: 8GB (2 sticks of 4gb ram)
    PSU: 450W
    SSD: 1TB Western-Digtal.
    Case: Zalman Z3 Plus

    Jitterclicking:

    This is just rapidly clicking,

    How to do it:

put your hand over the mouse, in summary, flex it, then jitter your muscles, it takes alot of practice.

It is recommended to have a gaming mouse as you dont stop and it feels better to jitter on.

I would suggest practicing pvp first on something not sg. Practice makes perfect

I wouldn't suggest a proffessional gaming mouse unless you plan on entering competitions or making machinimas for money.

Those graphics are horrendous... Get something better like a 960 (when it comes out). Also, mechanical keyboards are more of a personal preference.

If your trying to avoid being hit, in sumo I always run in a slow circle around the person, usually don't get hit, then once I do that I run at them while their back is turned and knock them off the edge, this may help in sg, though I'm not sure.

    I refer:
Try to practice your PVP skills from mobs
If you're low at health just run and they will lose track to you
If practicing by mobs doesn't work then try sumo to master your hits.
If running doesn't work how about doing knockback

If this doesn't work means your skills got some problem

I have an HP Pavilion laptop and I get around 30-50 FPS average with OptiFine.
The best tip for pvp is to practice clicking fast at http://cookie.riimu.net/speed/

Basically , you do not need a good computer to be good at PvP. Just install OptiFine and work on your technique such as wearing armor quickly, mouse clicks, etc.
Minecraft was designed for low powered computer.
