Some of you think its clever to hide staff abuse threads in the "other" section of the report abuse area.

Doing this is unwise. From now on, any time a thread is posted in the incorrect section and we have to move it, (and this doesn't just mean reports!), we will issue you 1 warning point before moving the thread.

The staff abuse section exists so that I can review staff abuse cases every time they are made. Hiding them in the "other" section prevents me from finding and reviewing them, which can result in your case not getting handled.

It is better for all parties involved that you actually put threads in the places they actually belong. From now on, failure to do so will actually have a consequence.

Does this apply to the people who make joke staff reports?

This applies to any time a thread is posted in the incorrect area and we have to move it.
Though what initially made me make this post was the constant attempts to circumvent the staff abuse section by hiding staff abuse reports in the "other" section.

Okay Roby. If I see someone put it in the wrong section what do I do? Should I tag a staff member to warn the player and move it? Thanks

Report the post and state its for posting it in the wrong section, and state where it belongs.

EDIT: Use the report link on the post.

    1 More question,
Scenario: I am reporting a player. I thought I was in the report abuse section, but 1 minute later I found out I accidentally Posted my report in the Report Bugs Section.
What do I do in a situation like this?
My answer: Just edit the post and say sorry, wrong section. Then I go to the report abuse section and Report the same thing again.

Edit your post with a notation at the top that says you accidentally placed it in the wrong place and want it fixed. Perhaps add a post tagging a staff member and stating you posted it in the wrong section by mistake. (Its double posting but editing in tagging doesnt work. For this purpose I'll allow it if its not overused.)

What if you think that you post it in the correct section, but it turns out that you didn't and clicked on the wrong section, but you don't notice it? Will you still get a warning point for misunderstanding?
Also, what if a new member posts something in the wrong section, not knowing there is a better fit section for it?
Oh and one more question (sorry >.<), what if you post it in the wrong section thinking that it is the right section?

Oh, and thank you for informing us!

Thank you! But I have a question, What if someone is new to the forums and he doesn't know what section to post something? Also, if It's an accident will we still get a warning?

Well, first off, one thing to keep in mind. Your not going to get any actual action taken on you for -one- warning point. If a misunderstanding does occur, its not like your going to get banned over it. You'd need to have "misunderstandings" like 10 times. Thats the benefit to how this warning system works.

So, just for clarification, if you ask for a thread to be moved, it doesn't could against you?

Also, posting staff abuse in "Other" doesn't only make it hard/impossible for you to get to it, but it also makes it so other people are able to view it as well, which could lead to harassment of that staff member, should the right person view it.

If you ask for a thread to be moved, it won't earn you a warning point
