I love Overwatch, and Overwatch right now is better, but the new string of updates for TF2 may bring it above Overwatch.
TF2 sucks now - I don't like how it is now. At least, Overwatch is new for me, and does tackle on realistic topics without losing its futuristic style. TF2 basically lost its shine to me now
Overwatch- $60, newer, can be played on different consoles, small gameplay, less Easter eggs. TF2- Free, older, only played on computer, many modes and maps, more Easter eggs. You decide. edit// another thing, remember that phase where the forums was obsessed with TF2? So, the majority will say TF2, like me.
TF2. I actually like the new Meet your Match update, especially after they fixed "Casual Mode" and actually made it casual. The only complaint I have is that Valve servers take a while to get into. That's the only issue I have with it. Everything else is just fun, and while it can be P2W, it's also Play2Win if you can trade and get past escrow well enough. I do have Overwatch, and it's nice I guess. However, there's so much more to TF2 than Overwatch. Overwatch just doesn't have the different set of weapons that can really alter gameplay, and that's what makes TF2 special. The only different weapons you have are the skins, which only change the COLOR of the weapons. That's it. Once you have the 21 heroes, then that's it. Nothing else. The classes also seem to have a problem where the game really isn't balanced at all, and there's always at least 2-3 chokepoints per map, making the few classes that use bullets useless. (before you say i didn't play overwatch enough to appreciate it I'm ~level 29 and have a skill of 48 in comp play)
I've played both but Overwatch is just more appealing to me and is a lot more fun to play. Would definitely recommend buying overwatch even if you don't like shooter games.
I prefer Overwatch. It just seems new and fresh with so many unique characters to try out :) Even though tf2 is still getting updated, I just think it's now a bit boring. I do like tf2, but Overwatch is a jut bit more appealing to me c:
