One Year of Service

Hello everyone,

By reading the title, you probably know what this thread is about.
Exactly one year ago, I was chosen to become a Helper on this community.
Now I know that I may be late with the creation of this thread. But I was doubting whether I actually wanted to make it. But by thinking twice, I believe this is the perfect opportunity to thank the community and tell you my story.


To start off, back about a year ago I basically was a stranger. I was only known by a couple of players, mostly because of the mini-game(s) I played.
I really enjoyed playing on this server. I soon was playing on it every single day for hours long.
I knew early that I wanted to start helping out in any way possible. Of course I understood that you don't need to be a staff member in order to help out, so I started off with reporting abusive players which oddly enough turned out to be quite fun.

I was never really planning to make a staff application anytime soon. I wanted to wait 2 years after I joined so I would be older, well knowledged, experienced, even more mature, etc. But Animoes thought this was nonsense, and he told me you don't need to be old to apply. After having a talk with him, my interest increased in applying increased so I decided to do it.

A couple of months later I happened to see MrDeathWilliam more often in TeamSpeak lobbies. He often joined the lobbies that I was in with another group. I never really talked as usual though.
After going through some normal days he came to me mentioning my application, but I won't go any further with details about that.

A few days later after that, my application was accepted.
I was extremely happy knowing I finally could mean something more than just reporting players. I also wasn't even known -or able to contribute a donation to the server, yet this stranger was given a chance.

I want to thank both @-Karma & @-MrDeathWilliam because I am standing here right now due to them.
I've experienced a lot ever since I joined the community. I'm happy to be here, moderating as extra.


I have to say that my experience here really is more than amazing. Can't even get the right word for it.
Everyone has given me so much support during the entire year, just so I can properly do my work here.
Seeing that they gave me a chance, even without really knowing me really made me happy.

But there are some things I would like to mention. For example this discussion I noticed a couple of days ago. There was a discussion between some players asking who is considered 'important'. I don't exactly agree with the idea of pointing out individuals to be an important part of the community. Why? Because everyone here is important. Understand that every single one of you made the community how it was, and how it is right now.
Our community has evolved, and that because of you.

I want to thank every single one of you for making the community of what it is today.
Also a very big thanks to all of you for this amazing year. I will keep doing my work here as best as I can, for you, the community.

The lovely way of writing this proves that you are definitely a smart and mature person, who deserves to be staff like no other.

Unlike others (including me), you can actually show extreme dedication to the server for a longer period of time, which is something I respect.

You were also the one who had an anwser to all of my questions when I just got promoted; something I would like to thank you for.

I really hope more people like you will appear in the future.

I remember the time you first joined factions. I knew you were great guy because Animoes did say you were his friend. You've been part of the community for long time now, and of one of the best ones. Nice job my friend! :)
