Hey guys, I know halloween was the day before yesterday but my family celebrates it extended. So here's my question for you guys: You can answer both or one or whatever. Have you ever felt true terror? If you have explain c: How do you celebrate your Halloween? For me, Yes I have felt true terror. But I don't really want to explain because it brings up bad memories. I celebrate All Hallow's Eve by this schedule: Oct. 31: We put up a campfire and I have my ukulele and we sing songs, then we tell ghost stories. After that, we go inside and bake cookies :3 Then when the sun goes down, we go trick or treating and eat candy and we always watch "Night of the living dead". We have a lot of young children in my family so we can't watch anything too scary. After all the trick or treaters leave and go in their houses, we put out a plate of cookies as an offering to the dead. (No they don't actually eat it XD) Nov. 1: On this day we buy tons of flowers and go to the closest cemetery and give flowers to all of the oldest looking tombstones. Usually, the kids have a chat with them too. Nov. 3: Extended family comes over for a party dedicated to our dead family members. We eat their favorite foods and play their favorite songs. So that's basically everything :3 What about you guys?
That is so cool! We just do the standard Halloween stuff (Trick or treating, Parties, etc). I've never felt true terror. I'm grateful for that. My grandparents are from Laos and are very superstitious. They make small packets of food (sticky rice and meat),wrap them in foil and lay them at random spotsaround the yard. Supposedly to keep the wandering ghosts happy, so they stay out of the house. Idk. They're old.
I have felt terror. My sister was listening to 1D right next to me xD jkjk I don't know, I think the closest to terror is when I was climbing Mt. Fuji when I was 6, I slipped, and I was sliding down for a while. However, I was okay. And last year, I learned that I have a chance of getting cancer. For Halloween, we go traditional American style, dressing up and trick-or-treating. However, I hand out the candy now; I just feel too old to trick-or-treat. If you look at my status, my half banana half unicorn/horse costume worked well xD Sometimes, we watch movies. I'm not allowed to watch horror movies so I just watch Hotel Transylvania instead :3
I have felt true, utter terror. I have almost died when I had severe pneumonia right after my birthday when I was 4, which scared me. ANYWAYS I celebrate Halloween by trick-or-treating with family and friends :3 Maybe it sounds lame to do that, but it's a tradition plus its free candy, Y'ALL CAN'T JUDGE. XD
We were away for like half an hour or so and when we came back we saw what happened. They didn't stole that much, but it's still scary to think random people walked around in your house. I didn't sleep too well that night.
