New Spawn/Lobby.

Hello.

Before I say anything. I'm not trying to disrespect the build team nor insult them, this is just my opinion and I'd like to share it to see what everyone else thinks about it.

Here's a few things I like about the new spawn/lobby :

Here's a few things I dislike about the new spawn/lobby :
- It's empty
- There are no places people can chill/hang out.
- Very few easter eggs ( which most of them are just heads. )
- People without /fly have trouble exploring the place.
- Etc. ( You get the point. )

The main reason(s) I dislike the new spawn so much is because :
1) It feels like a Hypixel copy.
2) There's not much to do.
3) The server seems to focus more on mingames rather than the community.
4) It's NOT unique
5) The old spawn was much better / colorful / unique and fun in general..

I don't see anything wrong tbh. There's the parkour that people can use to explore the place. The old one was too crowded since it was too small. This one is bigger and it allows people to actually run all around it in any direction unlike the old one which you could only go in circles. There are private chat zones that people can hang out. There are actually many easter eggs. You just haven't found them. I don't see how it's empty at all. It's full of buildings and trees and all that stuff. I believe it is better than the older one in general. I also don't see how it's not unique but anyway.

 

This new lobby is very similar to hypixel's and no, people can't "run" around easier now, there's a tiny lil platform that people spawn on and then you gotta fall down on a forest/river thing full of buildings that no one will ever go to and other buildings that you can't even access..

 

I like the new spawn. I think we should at least be thankful that we have one that is this large. It looks like there was a lot of effort put into it. It may not look unique, but there's only so many designs and blocks you can use to make something in Minecraft. Not everything has to be unique either. Plus, the old spawn was a ton smaller and we had it for too long imo.

 

True, I don't disagree with that but, instead of copying, they could just go with their own style and make it bigger?

 

Like I said, there is a parkour that takes you on those buildings.

 

And do what up there lol, you can't even get inside the castle thingy.

 

But, what makes you think they copied? They don't have the same build and it wasn't built by the same builders. I think it's quite large as it is right now.

 

They could have gone with their "original" type of spawns and make it bigger but that's just my opinion.

 

You say there are no places people can chill/hangout but since I explored the whole place I found a lot of them. It isn't that empty tbh, it just seems like it because of the size of the map. Most people who say bad things about this lobby is because they don't like change but cmon, things get dull after a while. If you don't like the lobby don't stay there, it's that simple.

It does feel a LOT like the Hypixel lobby, however, the builders did take a lot of time and put in a lot of effort building this lobby. I'm so-so with it, but I voted yes that I like it. It's a different direction that Willy and the build team are taking.

It has a similar layout, but it's not exactly the same. If anything, it looks a lot better than Hypixel. But it looks roughly similar.

 

Please show me what is similar to hypixel so I can understand, and the portal is not copying, it is making it more efficient, instead of having 20 portals, we have 1.

Efficiency.

 

I personally really like this new spawn. I believe a lot of effort was put into it, and I think it looks absolutely amazing. There will never be something that doesn't have some similarity to something else.

 

I'm not talking about the current Hypixel lobby but an older one.

Well some people liked the old spawn with the multiple portals, not only did it make the server prettier but it also added a unique style to it which I personally liked. We have different opinions, that's cool. And this thread is not just about the similarities of one spawn with another but the fact that it became rather empty and boring ( that's my personal opinion once again. )

 

New lobby looks great but this doesn't make it a good lobby. It misses a lot of things that older lobby's used to have.
This lobby's main focus is the big portal to effiecently get people into the mini games, but it completely lacks the chill aspect.
Lobby in this server for me was not only a place to guide people to the Mini game they want to play but also a place where you hang around and chat with friends. The old lobby had a nice feeling too it when standing around and talking to friends, this one feels like I am standing in the middle of a concrete field with nothing around me. This might sound stupid but I think a lot will agree, that when a lobby has no <homely, relaxed> feeling to it that it will make a server less fun.
If you want a lobby that is effiecent you might aswell remove everything and only keep the bridge and portal. No mountain, no towers around it no frozen river etc.

 

I don't have a problem with the new spawn for Jerry and Harry, but I see where you are coming from it does look similar, but like William said it does make it more easier to find things having 1 portal is a good thing than 8 or more.

 

Couldn't agree more with you, the old lobby was like a second "home" for me. It was so nice and chill

 

William said it makes it more efficient, not easier to spot. Imo it's a little more complicated having 1 big portal. It feels clumped together. The spawn is nice, but this aspect is what I don't like. I liked it when there were different portals with their own designs. It looked more playful.
