Minecraft Minecraft should get rid of bad chat!

Defently noticed tons of swearing, spamming, and caps. You know what it's all just toget attention, and i think thats wrong. Minecraft needs to get rid of any curse words, ability to spam, and too many caps, and sometimes people just rage.

And you just copied and pasted this onto the forums, contradicting your statement.

They're just words. Deal with it.

 

You can always turn off the chat yourself in the settings.

There's a plugin for swearing too. Instead of saying "I hate you" or anything close to that it turns it into "I love you! Marry me?) But we don't have it because we trust you.

No, that would limit free speech on Minecraft they were to do that, it would turn minecraft into a game like club penguin where everything is G rated vocabulary. We cant stop people from swearing and if you cant deal with it, dont play on this server :/ simple as that

 

This happens with all games. People swearing and cursing etc. However just like John said it is freedom of speech. Yes it's annoying and yes it isn't nice to look at. But this cannot be stopped. Staff do ban people who swear(excessively if I am correct). Unfortunately there won't ever be a game or a chat were you will not see swear words unless they do something like that plugin where words like 'shit' are changed to 'stick'. But that would just cause confusion. When you play online, you are not always going to have things your own way. Like as much as you want them to stop cursing, they wont. This is why games have ratings, so if you are underaged and decide to play a game and people curse or say stuff that isn't appropriate for your age, it isn't their fault as it is the person who is responsible. I know minecraft doesn't have a rating. Online has no limits I am afraid. So if you want to not see words like that because they annoy you, just turn of your chat or don't come online as much. This isn't just for minecraft. The majority of games are like this. Online is like this I am afraid. You are just going to have to put up with it. Or play Club Penguin because that game doesn't allow swearing.
