*This thread was made for all the people that want to sign up for the forums, but if you're already signed up you can also read this*

Ever since Jerry and Harry decided to add "staff applications" to the forums, more than 50% of the new members are here just to make a mod app. Anyways, I've seen a lot of people that are lying about their ages, and if you think it's good, it's not. not at all.

    Here's some examples:
-Lying is never good, it's better to get denided for what you are than get accepted for what you aren't.
-Imagine you did get a mod, and you said you were 17, imagine this situation: Jerry and Harry decides to make a video with you, they're adding you to the skype call, and suddenly, they hear a 9 years old kid, and not 17. That would be quite embarrassing I must say.
-Jerry and Harry wants the mods to be honest people, lying about your age dosen't make you a honest person at all.
-And for the last example, lying about your age can get you into massive troubles. Some of the people might know you're younger than you said, and they will start saying it on your staff app, and it's a good thing they're doing it. Soon, most of the people will understand you were lying, and your staff app will be filled with arguing and much more.

What I'm trying to say is, even if you're 9, and you really want to get mod so you're about to lie about your age, don't do it. It will cause more and more troubles...

Perhaps not asking for peoples' ages in mod apps would suffice. After all, I've been told our apps aren't judged by our age, and it's a very personal question.

If I was accepting and I saw a 6 year old with an awesome application, I still wouldn't accept them. They just aren't ready. In fact, if it were my choice, 13-14 or even 15 is a reliable age for mods. So it can be important.
In any case, this thread is true, but members have been lying about their age on the old forums too :3 it's really nothing new.

This is just my opinion if I were choosing mods, I base it mainly on maturity. If there is a 6 six year that is mature enough to handle the job, hell, give him the job. It would be highly unlikely to occur, but age is just a number. I've seen adults that act like children before, and it's not quite surprising. Yes, it is true that as you grow older, you become more mature due to being more experienced, but there are some kids out there with basic knowledge and understanding that are mature enough to handle.
