This is a game idea I made. Depending if people like it or not, I will decide wher I will make it or not. If I will make this game, I am going to be using the following programs to create it: http://unity3d.com/unity http://game-editor.com/2D_game_maker This game immensely focuses on multiplayer. Concept art: (Rough draft) Spoiler This is how the game will work: Spoiler You have a light. It will not last long. You need to find a key inside a giant mansion you are in. You will need to avoid monsters and being in the dark for too long. You need to search for a key and you will sometimes need oil buckets to refuel your light. Once you have the key, you need to find the door out. The mansion's rooms change, and this makes it harder and more puzzling as once you find and take the key, the mansion will begin changing rooms every minute. Basically, rooms will be switched around and this adds a hot level of difficulty. Your light will keep away monsters, as they can not go into light. Monsters will kill you. You have health. The less light you have, the smaller monsters you can weld off. Bigger monsters require a certain amount of light, as bosses require you to have at least %80 light. You can choose modes to play in. Easy = Rooms do not change. You find the key, you get out. You do not lose light in the process. You can not die from monsters. Normal = Rooms change. You find the key, you navigate through the changing rooms and get out. You lose moderate amount of light in the process. You take little damage from monsters. Intermediate = Rooms change often. You find the key, you navigate through the changing rooms and get out. You lose lots of light in the process. You will have a timer that gives you ten minutes to complete the session. You take moderate damage from monsters. Difficult = Rooms change every 10 seconds. You find the key, you navigate through the changing rooms and get out. You lose all of your light within 1 minute. Oil is harder to find. Your timer gives you 5 minutes to complete the session. You take lots of damage from monsters. Insane = Rooms change every second. You find 2 keys, you navigate through the changing rooms and use them to find a secret door, open the secret door, you will find a crystal. You take the crystal in the secret door while dodging multiple enemies' attacks. You run with the crystal and insert it inside the main door. You escape through the main door. You lose all of your light within 30 seconds. There is a maximum of five oil cans in the map. You die from one hit from a monster. You have 2 minutes to complete the session. IMPOSSIBLE = Rooms change every second. You find 5 keys, you navigate through the changing rooms and use them to find a secret door, open the secret door, you will find a crystal. You take the crystal in the secret door while dodging multiple enemies' attacks. You run with the crystal and insert it inside the main door. You escape through the main door. You have no light. You have no oil. You have a minute to complete the session. You die in one hit. You die from fall damage. This is how the game will work [coop]: Spoiler Everything is the same as how the normal game works in singleplayer. Except, minor differences. 2 Player mode: You and your friend both start out in different spots. One of you randomly starts out with a light. Everything else is the same, you both have to find one key, etc etc. To finish the session you BOTH need to get to the final door. Or else it will not open. You and your friend can switch between who has the light. By pressing "R" the other player with the light can be reminded that you want to use the light next, and if they press "E" the light will be teleported to you. The game difficulties are the same as the singleplayer ones, just add the extra details above. 3 player mode: Spoiler You and two of your friends all start out in different spots, except for one. One of your friends will randomly be picked to be the LIGHT. The light is now able to walk around. If you are a light, you walk around and help prevent monsters from your friends. Stay close to them. If you being as the light, run out of power, simply request oil by pressing "R" and if you are a player with oil in your inventory, press "E" and it will be teleported to the light. As being the light, you can teleport yourself to whoever you want to. if a player presses "R" you can teleport to them, and protect them. But if another player is dying, you can simply teleport to them and help weld off the monsters. But bigger monsters require more light power to weld off. You being the light, can not pick up keys. You can only absorb oil cans/buckets. You can also absorb fuel from fireplaces. The players who are NOT the light are basically normal. Same as 2 player, just you have a light who is sentient. The difficulties are the same as singleplayer, prettttty much. I am still thinking of ideas for more than 3 players.
