kiminonawa_boxoffice-1200x675.jpg Kimi no na wa, an amazing anime movie in my opinion and one of my favorites (I've seen many others before). At first, I had little expectations before watching the movie. I just thought of it as a generic anime, predictable things, annoying characters, etc. The movie proved it otherwise. So many things were very unpredictable in the movie, for example the Comet (or whatever) that annihilates the village. The start of the movie was honestly well thought out, start off unusual but still giving us time to figure out what's going on. The struggles that both characters manage to through while switching bodies with each other, Taki and Mitsuha, is pretty realistic in my opinion. I would say that my favourite scene is when they're atop the mountain, knowing that both of them are there, but not being able to see each other; they can only hear each other. This movie is a rollercoster of emotions for me; I feel happy for one instance and then sad. The movie is truly amazing and I can see why it sold pretty darn well and is very popular according to the anime community. I would recommend it to anyone, even if they don't watch anime. What do you guys think about the movie?

    Final Rating: 9.5/10

(im trying out this kind of "anime review" based on what I recently finished. feel free to point out what I can improve on since I'm practicing my writing.)

I really liked Kimi no na wa, it really messed up my emotions.
The part where I really liked was (I can't really explain what I'm trying to say;) They have two complete different lives.. A city boy and a country girl. They both want what the other has.
()()I tried to interrupt the best I can()()
I interrupted it as, cherish what you have. When Mitsuha and Taki weren't "switching bodies", Taki was confused and went out to seek for her. Once he heard about the comet he went to the record book of deaths and found her name.
He kept searching and searching, for the truth.

PS: The only reason why it didn't get a 10 is because I kept on crying.

Every time I hear the name of this movie, Japanese or English, or even read the name, I cry. I honestly hated the ending because I'm used to more traditional romantic endings where the main characters actually interact instead of just meeting. It did feel like a rollercoaster where you go really really high, but at the end you just feel sad because you were really high before. The soundtrack has got to be one of my favorites. The meaning of the lyrics is really touching and I still listen and think about what could have been with my own ex.

You can probably tell how I feel about this movie if my profile picture is from this movie in December 2016.

I feel you. I'm very used to watching/reading romance animes and it kills me to see a cliffhanger ending. If that's what they give us, then I'll take it. I'd rather have something than nothing. Other than that, what's your favourite soundtrack in the movie? Mines Zen Zen Zense.

Zen Zen Zense. The song was just perfect in that movie, especially with how existential you have to think. Just thinking that Mitsuha's spirit was waiting for three years to meet Taki again after she died hit me, since Taki literally searched for her past life.

Gotta ask this now, did Taki ever realize that he was three years behind when he looked at a clock or Mitsuha's phone? Or was he looking at something else the whole time?

I don't think he knows. He seems to think that the comet was completely harmless(?) back when he first saw it on the rooftop. I think he thought that he was living in the present but he was not. I find it a bit strange that someone from 3 years ago, Mitsuha can go to Taki'a body, who's living in the present. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not 100%. Also, by looking at the diary entries from both of them, I could be completely wrong, seeing that they are the same date. That or it happened exactly 3 years ago during the same date.
