Is this allowed?

So it is a rule not to mini-mod. And most people know that and try not to however are you allowed to say on a thread Dont post here unless its an application or it will be reported? I mean thats nots a rule that under all threads that are applications one anything other than an app is spam. So isnt that setting your own rule and mini-modding? If so we should have a rule against this because im tired of people saying dont post here unless its blah blah blah or it will be reported.

I think they're just emphasizing that they don't want random shit on their thread.

 

It's their thread, they can do what they want. Mini-modding is like telling someone not to do something

In other words,

You don't have the authority to enforce any rule if you are not a staff member, that's why It's called 'backseat moderation' or 'mini-modding'.
It's the staff responsibility's and business, not ours.

It's not even mini-modding because, as you said, they warn that they will report you. So staff are handling it and the thread owner isn't as they can't enforce shit.

But yeah, it shouldn't be allowed as it generates irrelevant (@GoobyHasAnOpinion r u proud) reports as I'm pretty sure staff would deny them.

And even if they did report them it would most likely be denied.

It's fine it didn't come off as mean.

Technically you can just start to report people randomly but they'd all get denied and you wouldn't seem like a very good person for reporting people for dumb reasons.
I'm not saying I agree with what people do on threads when they say things like "I will report you if you do this"
But it's technically not against the rules.

Unofficial rules wont be enforced.

So making up your own rules, even on your thread doesn't count. If you write that you will report people that arent applicants and actually report people we will deny the reports, except ofc it's a valid report breaking the official rules.
