Is this a bug?

In which minigame/server does the bug occur: Skyblock 1/2/3
Detailed description of bug: If you create a cobblestone generator and place a piece of redstone on the block the cobblestone generates on, you will get a piece of obsidian.


I've known about this for quite a while but I am not sure if this is a bug or if it is intentional.

 

I can't think why it would be intentional, so I am guessing it is a bug.
Is it on all the skyblocks?

 

As far as I know, it affects all skyblock servers.

Just tested on all skyblock servers. It works on them all.

 

I think this has something to do with the redstone counting as a block/half block.
So it gives the water/lava more room to flow, thus giving you obsidian instead of cobblestone.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Check if there is space under that lava

 

This might be some sort of obsidian generator. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I don't think this is a bug, as redstone is about 1/8 of a block (estimating) which causes to water to flow onto the lava, creating obsidian.

 

that weird your on a lower version they did not make the minecraft bug fix yet.
