I've got a couple old games I'd like to install on a new laptop I just got, however it doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. Another possible issue is some of the games have 4 discs for single game (that's how old) so some of the options I've been researching are questionable if they'll work. I tried installing to an external HD but hit the issue where a disk is needed to play still.

    Any suggested software or methods?

It's time to move on son, play new games.. like the rest of us.

Other than that you can always hook up a storage device with the games pre-installed to your new laptop, or look for online downloads.
No clue what games you mean but, you can also try an emulator to play them. Of course emulators come with their own quirks.
