Chapter 1. Female bathroom. --- "It's her first day of school, and she didn't wake up yet? She was so excited yesterday!" I hear my mom, speaking to my dad on the living room. Wait, what did she say? First day of... "Oh my God!" I scream. "Sheesh, she is finally awake" my mom says. I giggle. Okay Sapphire, focus. You've been waiting for this day for ages, and now it had finally come. I run towards my closet, but fall on the ground. "Are. You. Serious." I see a MLP at the ground. "Did I seriously fell on the ground because of that devilish thing?" The MLP looks at me with his Satan eyes. I quickly stand up and trow the MLP out of the window. (btw, MLP means My Little Pony). -Time skip- Okay, I think that's it. I look in my mirror and smile. Ew, Sapphire, don't smile, they'll see your braces. I'm wearing a blouse, some skinny jeans, and my favorite dip-dyed beanie. "Okay Sapphire you can do this. Just stay calm" I whisper to myself. "Honey you gotta go!" She shouts. Awh shit... Shit shit shit... I run down stairs and grab my lunchbox. ''Bye Mom, love you!'' I say and run out of the door. -Time skip- ''Oh no... 5 minutes left 'till first class'' I cant keep control of my head anymore. I think I forgot my keys. Oh god how am I gonna get home without my keys. Sapphire you're so stupid?! Why does mom ev- "Hey, can I sit next to you?" A strange girl voice says. "Yeh sure" And smile a bit. There is no need to look at her face, because next bus stop is IJAH High. I grab my earphones and plug them in my phone. The music starts. I've never been the kind of person to like hit music. "Hey, are you a student of IJAH high?" I get pulled out of my thoughts and look at the girl. "Oh, y-yes I am." I try to smile at her. "Freshman?" she looks at me with a bright smile. "No, I just moved here." I giggle because she looks disappointed now. "What's your name?" I ask. "I-It's Emma" She looks down at her feet. "I'm Sapphire, but just call me Sapph." I like how I was really scared this morning. But being freshman is even worse. ''I really like your sweater'' I say to Emma. ''Thank you! I really like waffles so yeah!'' She smiles bright. I'm so happy that we don't have to wear uniforms on IJAH high, it would look really weird. ''Can I call you Emi? It fits you good'' I said while smiling a bit. ''Yeah Sure'' She says. We're walking towards te gates of the school, and notice something. People are standing in groups. I look at Emi. ''I'm scared'' Emi says with fear in her eyes. I smile at her and she becomes calm again. She feels like my little sister, while I just met her. -Time skip- ''What... The actual...'' I look at a guy just being really excited and jumping around. He runs towards me. ''Hey I'm Nick wanna hang out? We really should hang out. You look cool!'' He says excited. ''Uuuh, yeah sure. When?'' I look at Emma who is giggling. ''Tonight, around 8 pm'' He runs off. ''And btw, You can call me Blue!'' He shouts. Emma starts crying because of laughter. I giggle a bit. -Time skip- This. Is. So. BORING. My first class is maths, and I don't even know what she is talking about! I know no-one in this class and feel a bit lonely, but that's fine. ''Oh, I just noticed we have a new student!'' The teacher says excited. I stand up and hear my chair fall behind me, everyone laughs. I grab my chair and put him at the right place again, and walk towards the front of the class. I just keep smiling, I don't want to be bullied, again. ''H-Hey everyone! I'm Sapphire, but you can call me Sapph. And-'' I look at one guy that's in front lane. He stares at me. Kinda creepy, but cute at the same time. I decide to continue my story: ''And I just moved here. I like to sing, draw and LARP'' I say smiling. ''What the heck is LARP'' Some girl asks in the back. ''First raise your hand, please'' The teacher says. The girl raises her hand and asks the question again. I can see her face now. She seems familiar for some reason. ''It means, Live Action Role Play'' I say quickly. ''Sounds for weirdos and geeks'' she says quiet bitchy ''Well I am one, sorry'' I respond, and walk back to my table. The lesson continues. -Time skip- Where is Emi when I need her? I'm sitting all alone in the big lunch hall. I'm eating some cornflakes with red berries. ''There you are'' A familiar girl voice says. I look up, and it's not Emma who I expected. The familiar voice is from the girl, from previous class. She sits down without any permission. ''Hey, I'm sorry. You seem pretty cool.'' She says. I look in her blueish eyes and see that she means it. ''It's fine, what is your name?'' I ask. ''I-It's Melanie.'' She looks at the ground. ''Do you hate your name?'' I ask. ''No, not really but-'' ''HEEEEY SAPPHIRE!'' Emma waves at me and runs towards me. ''Wow, you're excited. How was first class?'' I ask. ''It. Was. AMAZING. Sapphire, we have to go to that table'' She points at a table with a lot of people. ''N-No I can't go there! I-I'm scared Emi!'' I say. ''Look who's the freshman now.'' She laughs. My cheeks are starting to get red. Emi grabs my hand and Melanie follows me, apparently she knows the people at the table. -Little time skip- I look at the ground and keep staring at my feet while all the others are talking. I'm not really a social person when it comes to big groups like these. ''Hey are you okay?'' A guy says. I look up and he smiles at me. It's the guy who stared at me from previous class. ''Uuuh, I think so.'' I say. But in my head it all goes like: NOW IM OKAY YEH! ''Wanna sit with us?'' Did he really just ask that. Oh sweet lord what am I gonna do, I'm gonna mess up so bad! I can't do this! ''What's your name?'' I ask out of nowhere. ''It's Nathaniel! But call me Nathan, please'' He smiles. He is so kind to me. ''And this is my girlfriend, Becca'' He says with a big smile. It feels like the floor dissapears underneath my feet. I quiet liked this guy, yes. I think I need a breather. ''Umh... I'll be right back'' I say and walk towards the bathroom. Every step feels like hell. I stop right in front of the mirror and look at the girl in front of me. There is fear in her eyes. A tear rolls down her red cheek. ''Are you okay?'' I turn around and look straight at a guy. He sat at the table too, but it seems that he followed me. His black hair looks at bit messy, but quite cute at the same time. ''Yeah I'm totally fine'' I say fake-smiling. ''Wait, why are you crying then?'' He asks. ''Why are you in the female bathroom then?'' I giggle, but cover my mouth, I don't want him to see my braces. ''I'm Brendan, call me Bren please.'' He says. ''I'm Sapphire, you can call me Sapph'' I smile at him. ''Well, I'll tell the squad that you're fine, we were worried.'' I look at him confused. ''Uuh, why would they care to be honest?'' I ask. ''You're a squad member now'' He smiles at me. I smile back and he walks off. --- Authors note: Hey everyone and thank you for reading the first chapter of 'I'm Just A Girl'. Is this based off anything with anybody at all? Like you personally. Because this sounds SUPER detailed. If not, then way to make it realistic! the first half sounds like my first day of freshman year
