I need help with my computer audio.

Lately I have been receiving issues with my headset and was planning on returning it because they audio would skip, buzz sometimes, and even just go completely silent. I then realized that it was computer and not the headset having the problem and was wondering if anyone knew how I could fix this problem of my computer audio skipping and cutting out. Thank you to anyone who attempts to help or finds a solution!
