i cannot believe this

out of all states, Ohio intoduces a non-discrimination bill. this literally makes me so happy, i started crying. me being open about my gender identity in the job scene, and school (too scared to come out at home) i have been denied service at places and declined jobs based on those two things. Those are some of the worst feelings in the world. I'm harassed constantly at school and in the city, this may not directly affect any of you if you don't live in Ohio but this is something that needs to happen in all states. The bill protect Ohioans from discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations based on their sexual orientation and gender identity.

i never thought i would see this in my lifetime. what are your thoughts? i hope this gets passed but our Governor John refuses to support a state law protecting LGBT people from discrimination in Ohio.

I was talking about this during class and I was so happy. I identify with a non-binary gender so getting jobs is really difficult aswell. I live in one of the worst trans* community states, well in my opinion. Cheers to any another queer kids celebrating because of this <3

Illinois is NOWHERE near better than Ohio, just because you live there doesn't make it better.

Fun fact, Illinois actually have more protection laws and is one of the most liberal states in the U.S. I'm not sure what he meant by better though.

2. This actually made me very happy to see. Even though I do not live in Ohio it's great to see that they are accepting all kinds of people. They are realizing that everyone is the same in some way. My prediction is that pretty soon, the other states will acknowledge this and join in. I'm very happy you do not have to feel... isolated, I guess, and you can finally live your life normally (or just as you want to). Along with all "Ohioans."
