Considering I am probably the worlds biggest n00b, I decided to post this thread so I can share my noobiness with the world. And like a bunch of questions xD. Anyways, here are my questions.

WARINING! EXTEREMELY NOOBISH

1.) How do I install mods without viruses? (if there is a way then how do I download forge)
2.) How do I install texture resource packs without viruses?

 

Most to all popular mods and texture packs contain no viruses. If you get worried about it, you should download an Anti-Virus.

 

First look what people on the minecraft forum say about it
second, download it from its original website or from a trusted friend
third install minecraft magic launcher for a reliable launcher

1)​

use the 1.6.4 version of forge and it works with any mod​

2) open minecraft, go to options, click resource packs, click open resource pack folder, download resource pack, drag resource pack into resource pack folder and it should appear​

I don't think it is counted advertising unless your actually telling people to sub to you. But you can still put your youtube videos in the minecraft section.

Again i dont think you can just install mods with just a click. I think you have to download programs/mod launchers
