Soooooooo.... in class, ag, we have to use a radial arm saw. And of course, I am freaked out. I am scared I am going to get hurt, and not only that I am scared of the sound and just the whole shiz of it. I have always been scared of power tools it isn't just now. I feel uncomfortable when my DAD uses a saw, and have my phone nearby ready to call an ambulance. I mean my family doesn't have the greatest history with them either.
Great grandpa- cut his arm off
    Grandpa- sliced his leg open

    SOOOO YEAH
I mean I think it's because it is something I feel I can't control if it gets out of hand. I've tried telling my ag teacher that I feel nervous around it, but he always says, "It'll be fine." Then mentions someone cutting their arm off. I have nausea, dizziness, and sweaty palms from just listening to other people use it. I'm scared, please, help.

Tell your parents how you feel, maybe they could talk with the teacher and discuss an arrangement.

    Ah, alright.
Nerves are normal to have, but you want to know the good thing about them? Once you do the thing you are nervous about, the feeling is amazing. Trust me.

He's right, why wouldn't it be fine?

You're overthinking things, "omg what if I lose a finger, omg what if this what if that".

Simply follow the workplace safety guidelines and don't touch the blade with your hand.
If you pay attention while using the saw, nothing bad will happen.

First of all, is the saw ever going to help you in life? If not, then don't bother with the saw. They can't force you even if you have to :3
Second of all, if it's gonna help you, take Jerry's advice

Thanks! It helped. I did do it. (But the ag teacher didn't tell me what to do at all.)
