Minecraft Help with my skin?

I decided a little while ago that I really really really want an HD/shaded skin. The only problem is, I have no idea how to make one. I think that shaded skins look much nicer than non-shaded ones, and that the gradient effect would add a flair to my skin that I feel it's missing.

Could somebody maybe teach me how to shade my skin(preferably without downloading much), or maybe even consider doing it for me(you really don't have to)? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
