Y do people make such a big deal about it

when I go on the server and even the fourms I allways see people pointing out every single spelling mistake ever made

I mean Y do you people go nuts about it all the time???
is it really needed

 

Because its a forum. Your lucky this forum doesn't have a rule against it. On most you'd get banned, and/or ignored if you do have bad grammar. Period.

In short. Its a forum, not a chatbox. Your message will be there forever and not be deleted.

In 11yr old speak: "cuz iz fourms u must have gud gramer bcuz it ther for long tim"

 

Spelling/Grammar shows how well.. Smart or makes you look better. When you have bad spelling, You look like a noob and it looks like you are lying about being 16. So..

 

I am 11 yet I have amazing grammar.

But it makes everything easier to read. Like in a school essay, you cannot have horrid grammar and such. The reason is cause you will get an F. And if no ones points it out, you will get denied from jobs because your grammar is crap. This is not a shout box where you can post comments with no grammar. I mean, no offense but some 2nd graders at my school have better grammar then you (My school goes from pre-k to middle school)


EDIT: @Mcc457 most 11 years old I see do not have good grammar at all. So your post is true. I actually learned a lot of grammar from this forum. Also it is ok to have very small mistakes, like sometimes I have mini punctuation and capitalisation errors. But I do not talk like this: Y is every1 so mean today ugh u guys are bullys" See, that had no punctuation and grammar (It had some but not very much)

For starters...
it's "grammar" not "grammer".

 

If you have an official fourm like an application it should be corrected. If its like a joke in random spam no worries! Once in random spam I saw a guy go nuts over someone writing kewl instead of cool.
Also when you post a debate about "grammer" (its grammar) use proper grammar. You will just get hated on. Prepare your hater shades JULITAR. On a related note, your going to need them.... don't mess with ENDERTACOLEGION! In 10yr old talk like you post; u in bud sitch dood people may not think ur sooz kewl anymoe IF U EVA WaS KEWL HAhaHAHAHAH! tacopeopler comin fo ya

Spelling and grammar don't really matter, unless you're writing a staff application or something important like that. If you're not in one of those serious forums, you don't need to have perfect spelling. Even in a staff app, people shouldn't go nuts over someone saying "then" when they should have said "than."

Grammar is what makes you and your posts look smart and correct in most instances. Without it, what may seem legible to you, may not be to others and confuse said users. It doesn't have to be perfect but, at least try to use it.
