Gerard Way concert

I have been waiting so long to see him. So, on May 19th I saw Gerard Way. The man that makes me happy, cry, and laugh. The one who's done so much for me, more than I could ever ask for. He means so much to me.
I saw him in concert, and it was amazing.
So, it was 3 hour drive to Cincinnati, Ohio. We left at 7 am, and got down there at about 10:30. Had lunch at 11. After lunch, and getting checked into the hotel, it was about 2, so we walked around Cincinnati, and got in line about 3:30 and waited until 7:30 to get in.
While waiting in line, I met some really cool people. (Not going to post pictures due to confidentiality) and we got the entire line to sing Welcome to the black parade, there was a shit ton of people.
Me and a group of people sung a bunch of My Chemical Romance and Gerard Way songs before the show.
At 7:30 we got in, and on the way in I signed my name on the wall outside of the venue. I signed my autograph, the date, I <3 gerard, my twitter handle. So, I got in and went to the front of the barricade. The venue was huge.
The first act was nuns music. And these guys were amazing. I've heard them before, and talked to them through twitter. They are cool guys. Their set was good.

Next, they had to get gerard's band instruments' ready.
Then he came out, and honestly I wasn't ready. Mentally speaking.
I cried seeing him for the first time, he looked so good. Showing off his hair, and his trademark 'sass'
His set was amazing. The first song he played was The Bureau.
And, he played these songs. Action Cat, No Shows, Brother. Millions, Zero Zero, Juarez, Drugstore Perfume, Get The Gang Together, How It's Going To Be, and Maya The Psychic. (Not in this order of course) Basically his entire album. He played, Kid Nothing, Piano Jam, Snake Driver. He played Television All The Time too! That song is probably one of my favourites, it means so much.
The song Piano Jam hit him, and me really hard. We both cried during it. It's a great song.

I took this video. The quality screwed up because I enlarged it so it looked good on Youtube.
During the song Action Cat, there's a lyric, 'it's not loving, it's just fxcking' and he kept repeating 'fxcking' over and over again it was great.
Brother, he talked about his brother and how much he loved his brother Mikey. I love Mikey.
Something I have been waiting to do for a long time was to sing words back to Gerard and we did that to a majority of his songs.
Maya The Psychic, before that song he talked about how he thought he wouldn't live past 25. That breaks my heart honestly, but talked about how he went through depression before the band, during the band and after they broke up. (My Chemical Romance) He talked about My Chemical Romance and it starting.
It was a magical night, and Gerard talked about transgender and nonbinary people. How this world is progressing, and we need to make it progress even more. Being apart of those group of people myself, I felt so glad. Gerard said that he gives us his undying support. He talked about having disabilities/mental problems, and how he's gone through that type of stuff. How it gets better, how he got a therapist, and how we could get help. Being apart of that group of people made me feel very safe as well. I always know that he is in my corner. Something really amazing happened. He pointed at me, he was singing. 'I love you very very much, you're very beautiful, don't cry' and kept repeating. After he played his entire set, he went back and we all cheered for an encore and he played the song 'Don't Try'. He got his phone and took a picture of all of us.
The show was great, and after the show I waited at the back of the venue for almost 2 hours for him.
He came out of the venue and I got a quick hug and he said 'thank you so much, I love you' He couldn't take pictures or do signings because of a 10 hour drive ahead of him.
His hug felt safe. Gosh, Gerard means so much to me. He said he loved our crowd and it was one of the loudest ever. He called us cute and beautiful too.

I've never really listened to mcr, nor Gerard (sorry) but damn I might because he is so amazing from what you described. It's comforting that he recognizes the minority, and supports the people who need it the most, not those fake dildos who say they are bi, or say they have depression just for attention (not you, lots of people at my school. <3 u eli) and that bullshit.

Anyways, yes. praise Gerard. Praise that bastard.
