FREE CAPE SCAM

Recently there have been a number of user messaging people something along these lines

"Hey! Want free optifine capes?? Go to the link now! (insert scam link here)

Just a warning to be careful, as these links are always scams. Stay safe out there! Also, if you have names of the users that do this, or the links they message you, please post them.

 

It happens often on most community's but whenever you get one of those messages you earn a message yourself saying to keep safe and not click the links given by randoms. I never click links in game even it's my best friend as you never know what can happen, your ip can be logged, scams your accounts, gets personal info, be safe people.

Whenever this happens, if it does ever happen, screenshot immediately and report. That's the only way we can get rid of 'em.

 

Some guy called ItilaianoFerrari scams people. I didn't report him because he swore he would stop and as an apology he would give me irl money... I forgot to screenshot the chat, so I can't report him :(

 

If you guys see something like this, screenshot it immidently and show us this.

We will take notice asap.

 

I've also seen and heard of players paying other players IG money for them to purchase Optifine capes for their account and after receiving the cape, they would then charge back the cape and get a full refund for it, which apparently suffers no consequences or at least doesn't on other servers, not sure about this one.

I almost fell for one of these.
To this day, the account i used on the website is deleted (thank god, it was my dads email) but now that i realize it, it truly is scary.

The internet can be a scary place, dudes. Stay safe out there

I remember clicking a link once, which is the reason why I'm afraid of the dark. I remember I was shouting in the chat while everyone was laughing and I couldn't sleep for hours and for the whole week I didn't talk at all.
(If you're wondering what the link was, it was a scary picture of a man flashing on my screen.)

Also, just for you all to be safe, DO NOT click on ANY links that include the word "findminecraft", "420yolo" or "JeffTheKiller". Those are both screamers and viruses. I clicked on one of these wearing headphones. The link Louise mentioned was a JTK, one of the worst. Stay safe.

 

XD that happens to me online at least once a day offering me a free cap or some other crap or someone who spams me a different Ip. Also with the different Ip THEY CAN FIND OUT WHERE YOU LIVE KIDS! Legit, Don't go to those random ip's players send you on the server either,because they will find you and they will stalk you and they will know where you live kids.Plus I don't click on links from people Idk from around the server even tho IK a crap ton of people and forget half there names or they change them anymore these days. But, anyways Don't trust Anyone anymore not even staff (Sometimes ok).

 

Alright I know everyone has said something similar but ehhhh. If a website besides mojang asks for your username and password.... pleaseeee don't enter in your information. You gotta fight that urdge to get that "Free" minecon cape :P

I clicked fineminecraft.com once as my bes friend told me it was to do with buildings etc... I clicked it and I don't think I slept for a month as my ears were just ringing as my headset was on (I had to see my doctor).

 

Man i hate these scammers! Why advertise to get other player's information?

I don't trust it because it was a guy's forum account, but why in bit.ly?
