Favorite MLP character

Mine should be obvious: Twilight Sparkle. Here's why:

1. I identify with her far more than any of the other characters. The closest competitor would be Spike, but he just doesn't have the same charm and relatability Twilight's character has.

2. She was not specifically designed to be a popular character. What do I mean by that? Let's take a look at Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, roughly tied for the most popular character.

Rainbow Dash may be the most popular of all ponies. Why? She's fearless, eager to lead the group, and has a love for all things cool and awesome. This makes it obvious that she would gain a major following amongst fans. The creator of the show herself designed Rainbow Dash from her favorite character in older versions of MLP. Because she was clearly intended to be very popular but didn't catch my interest, I don't really like her that much.

Fluttershy may also be the most popular, but for the opposite reason as Rainbow Dash. She's kind, timid, nature-loving, and all in all lovable. It's hard for me not to love her, still allowing her to place as my third favorite of the main 6, behind Twilight and Pinkie.

Twilght, on the other hand, was clearly not intended to be popular. She is portrayed as a studious unicorn (now alicorn) with a passion for knowledge and a great skill in magic. She was clearly not designed to be very popular, but lots of fans, naturally enough, still identified with her as a character. However, since not all of them did she's still less popular than Dash and Flutters.

My favorite is Flutters.

Canon: she's a quiet, cautious, and respecting character. A follower type. She is there for support, but not to lead. She can practically take down any animal(And yes, from Medusa-chickens to bears to full-grown dragons o_O) when she needs to.

Non-Canon: She is a pony who just loves to snuggle and relax. Again, very calming and cute. Also, #FlutterMac

 

Rainbow dash >.<
I think it's because she's the pony that 'describes' me the most. Last year, when I started watching, I was a tomboy, and I loved her because we loved the same stuff, and I loved rainbows n' shit, so yeah xD

 

My favorite is none of them <3

 

Twilight Sparkle, no contest. :3

 

It used to be RD, as with everyone.
Then it transitioned to Flutter for a little bit.
Then it was Spitfire :D

Now it's mostly Luna with a mix of Spitfire thrown in there. :P
