Factions problem

    I was playing factions with my friend captaintx3536 and for some reason he could attack me. We were not in the war zone or wilderness but in our faction. Is this a glitch? Because before it said in the wilderness no hurting allies and faction members allowed. He was still in my faction and i knew since he could still build.
