Your username: Kick_In_Ass_ In which minigame/server does the bug occur: Factions Detailed description of bug: When I go through the portal at spawn I get teleported to some random place and suffocate to death.
First of all this is not a bug. The portal or the hub must have been down as it could not connect to the server. Also, if you go to /spawn and go to the edge of the portal it will act as a normal portal and tp you to the nether. The suffication part I can't really explain other than someone made it so when you go theough that portal you die.
I have tested this. You must have been at the edge of the portal for too long. Whenever you stand on the edge of the portal for a long time. You will be teleported to a random place and suffocate. I have no idea why that is happening. Now in regards to @Ayg post. When I TP to the random place. I opened up the debug screen and saw I was in the nether before I suffocated to death. However in normal use the portal is fine.
Very weird maybe the teleport point was incorrectly set, only thing i could say is do /compass /lobby or /hub for now. @MrDeathWilliam would be you're best bet to talk to or higher then a mod+. Thank you @Kick_In_Ass_ for reporting have a great day!
I can guarantee you that the server does not use a teleport portal plugin. It actually uses a plugin called Janus which essentially executes /server lobby when you enter it.
