My school program taught us about politics, laws, taxes etc. Guess what!? People didn't want to learn that, just like most of the things. They simply ignored it until the day they had to correct their grade, memorized it over night, and soon forgot it.
Chances are, if there were classes about 1st aid and peoples rights, most of you wouldn't learn it, because in today's society, the most important thing is to take a selfie and get 100 likes on your facebook profile. No one is cool because he is smart and well educated, right?
Current education system is flawed, of course it is, but it's better than none. Oh, and, that quadratic equation (which I bet he doesn't know unless
he googles it), I use it almost every day of my life. Most things you learn up until college are basis for future education, if you decide to take one.

I advise everyone to stay in school, unless you want to work at McDonald's for the rest of your life.

I wish our school would teach us useful things, everything that helps you in life is either an elective or an activity, that I will never have time for because I'm too busy studying quadratic formulas for hours a night.

But yeah I do agree with Jerry, stay in school folks. Just when you get to college do something you WANT to do, and choose the career path you are WILLING to follow for the rest of your life.

I agree with the tax part. Schools should have a class dedicated to that.

With things like taxes, frankly it's not hard to pick up. What would you rather learn on your own: mathematics which may lead to future professions, or buying a house (with money which you won't know where to get from). Sure, a lot of the subjects you may not care for, but they're just providing you with more options to choose from; you never know what you're going to like until you start doing it(I don't think anyone would want to become a scientist or an engineer unless someone brought them "science class" and "math class"). Sure my opinion is most likely biased, but I feel like most of the points brought up in this video are biased as well.

Not staying in school is the dumbest thing.
I got friends in real life who quit school because "fu*k it, I'll just get a job", and now are working their asses off for $500/month, working 10h/day, 6 days in a week. No, thank you.

He's not saying that children should drop out of school. Rather, this song is more about the school syllabus and how all lot of times school tends to waste time on certain topics that are irrelevant to what should actually be taut. If one wishes to continue their education by learning more about other things, then they are more then welcome to but they shouldn't be forced to learn them is what he is saying. Further on, the fact that school tends to get a little off-topic at times is slightly true, though I'm sort of neutral about this whole thing. I like to basically learn as much as I can and get as much as I can out of school. I'm basically a knowledge freak who literally tries to know everything, the only difference is I understand how it's physically impossible to know everything. The reason why I try to learn so much is because I want to be able to go into my life with a good education and be able to make a success in College, life, and even my career. Back to the topic, you should really consider watching this video, as the same guy clarifies what the song is actually about:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=663&v=BJIu7pE0lBA
By viewing it from this perspective, you begin to open up with this guy and realize that he's not lazy, not ignorant, not unintelligent (As he is extremely intelligent just by viewing this), and most importantly not a bad guy after all.

The stuff he says in the video doesn't need to be taught. Its common sense and you should be able to learn how to do it on your own. Plus I think that society is fine and our education system is working well as you can see by people who have sufficient jobs and create new ideas. The people who complain like this guy just didn't pay attention in school and fucked around...

You should watch it, he literally stated that he got three A's in school and actually graduated. Does one simple screw around in school with an A+? Nope, not at all as it takes work ethic to get those grades.

So you're saying I'm just supposed to somehow magically figure out how to raise a family, not get broke, get a good job, pay taxes, vote, become the president of America, and take over the world?

You cut out his entire support for his argument, anyways, all those things are common sense. You are taught how to add, subtract, multiply and divide in basic math. You are taught about the basic history of your country, and possibly the world to make decisions on future leaders and becoming one yourself, things like raising a family, getting a job, not going broke are things you learn through experience, not instruction. These are common sense, street smart things you pick up by interacting with other people.
