So as many may know, I leave the community on weekdays to focus on school and personal things(not explaining), and asked my parents to leave the whole academic problem to me, but they just insist on intervening AFTER they left the problem to me. They are now not even letting me use a computer. –_– They would probably take my phone too, but I paid for it in full, so it is my property. Until I pay about $200—$300, they have control over my laptop as well. By law I am unable to do anything, and no businesses are hiring at 14 years of age.

Anyways, if your parents agree to you handling a fault you made, but they still punish you, is that fair? And do you think that my parents are being abusive of the electronic ownership?

    Wut...

Well, my mom bought me a new macbook, (My property @@) and my dad hides it nearly every day. :/ Find that abusive?
Really depends on what you've done wrong, like I can see on why your parents have taken your computer away for academic reasons.
to be honest, I'd really want to f*ck my parents when they interfere with my academics, as I have control over it myself, and really don't need additional pressure and annoyance, neither do I need difficulty in getting information i want. (This computer I'm using at the moment sucks ;/)

Obviously, my above statement applys only if you have clear control and understanding over your education, because it is a valid reason for parents to 'confiscate' items off you under circumstances where you can't control yourself
p.s it has nothing to do with law, and hope you aint even trying to go to the court to take your electronics back...

I do understand what I am learning in school, I let them drop on my own account, and take responsibility for that, but I do feel that my parents are being hypocrites due to the circumstances of them allowing me to actually take control, yet they still "baby" me. I find this annoying as I am a young adult and my parents need to understand that.

And as I look at this situation in relation to other grade drops, I now know that my mother is the one who felt the need to do this, as my dad usually understands my POV and how hard school, and civilized life, was for him, since his family was poor, but my mother's family was wealthy, and actually had a Tv back when they were expensive as fuck.

Although my dad doesn't hand out punishments, he is always able to break down my arguments and conjure a stronger counter-arguement.

That doesn't make any sense. Why can't they let you take care of the problem and be done with it?
