Do I need this?

So, Im about to take a 2nd try in my staff app... But heres a question, should I apply?

Think of negative consequences:

Staff:
Most time need to be on which means less time for study, sleep etc.
Need to put alot of effort in my staff app which will make me tired and wont be 100% sure it will get accepted.
People will get mad at u after u ban/mute them.
I need to be perfect.

and Normal Piratey Stuff:
Being useless.
Keep being hated.
Nothing Changes.

So should I... Or no?

Good game, its all your decision now. Do you consider yourself ready for the position, and are you willing to give up time to support. If you sepnd an hour or more on the server or forums daily then you should be plenty active.

Thats basically the questions I ask myself when I apply.

 

Okay, so...

Again, it is your decision, we are not the one to judge here. Staff have lives. they don't always spend their time on J&H, they probably do in their spare time.

You don't have to make an app as BIG as possible, some staff do not have time to read the entire thing, so here:
Do not make it too short, do not make it too big either.

If people get mad at you for muting/banning them, just ignore them, there is a slang, called trolls. They try to annoy you, maybe pester you.

You don't need to be "perfect", everyone here is unique. We all have our own ways.

Now the "normal piratey stuff"

If you think you're useless, try to make yourself useful, maybe help out a little bit.

Again, if you're being hated, just try to improve yourself, don't push too hard, or you'll stress out in the end.

Nothing changes? just look for improvement in yourself, don't just sit there and think you'll improve straight up, do something about it.

Do what some staff members have done before/when they applied, push too far and you won't get what you want.

That's all I have to say.

 

Well Cap, I think if you want to go for it then I'm here to support you :P if they turn you down there's no need to be upset. If it gets in the way of your normal life then it might need a little more time. Besides:
Being rank/no rank is way better in my opinion. Staff you got to sit round and sort stuff out. Normal pirates like you? Much more fun :)

I've never applied for staff before but there is one thing that is for sure.

If you want to gain something, you must put in hard work and effort. Anything is possible as long as you work hard for it.

If you want to be a Helper. Then yes. You would need to put a lot of effort into your app.

People would get mad at you. Yea, that person would. But the community would appreciate it because, you have done your job as a Helper.

These people speak the truth.
You don't have to be active 24/7. We know you have a life to live and minecraft isn't EVERYTHING. Just don't disappear off the face of the earth.
Also, ANYONE who applies isn't 100% chance they'll get staff. It's not just you. It doesn't hurt in trying.
Basically just listen to these guys and Nether and I think you'll do just fine.

I'd like to add something too. Why are you looking at the negatives. Look at the posistive! Looking at the negatives will get you no where!

Think of at least 3 positives and list them.

 

Staff: Im Usefull
An excuse to play minecraft (:3)
Cant think of third one.

 

You'd be giving back and contributing to the server that you love to play on? C:

 

You can help people who are in need. And that's honestly a great thing anyone can do.

Now with these positive goals.

• Believe in yourself that you can do it!
• Work hard. Don't give yourself any excuses.
• Enjoy what you're doing. The most important thing is that you're enjoying what you're doing. No point in doing something that you don't enjoy doing.
