Bug or Just a Glitch?

In which minigame/server does the bug occur: Creative

Detailed description of bug: When building with a certain block, in this instance Stair Blocks, a chunks worth of that block appears and is only visible to me, when I asked a friend if they could see it, they said no. Neither of us knew what was going on so they told me to report it, as it had happened twice and was only able to get a picture of the second time.



If there is anyway you can explain what's happening or any advice for it not to occur again would be appreciated.

Are you using Optifine / 1.12?

 

Yes, is that the reason behind this?

 

For some reason optifine causes this glitch when used in 1.12. Other people using the same optifine version will also see this glitched chunk appear, and you can fix it by simply relogging.
