Another Thread Because the Moderators Can't Read

My point is YOU NEED TO HIGHER MODERATORS THAT DO 1 SPECIFIC JOB TO STOP YOU ALL FROM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE "LARGE' AMOUNT OF WORK YOU HAVE TO DO AND TO STOP PEOPLE FROM HACKING. Do you get it now? I hate having to repeat myself 3 times...

Anyways, why should you care about the amount of staff there is?
We have staff applications, some may be accepted soon, calm down.

1. The current mods will become Mod+'s soon to make way for the new moderators.

2. I kinda agree where he says "TO STOP YOU ALL FROM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE "LARGE' AMOUNT OF WORK YOU HAVE TO DO" as this is true. It is a moderators job to do this. They don't need "less work" as that's the work they signed up for. Thats their fucking job, not someone else's. You can't just shove it off as if someone else is going to do it, as its not someone else's job.

3. If a thread is locked by a moderator, then its best kept that way.

4. We do need more staff. The amount that's on now is slim. Tiny compared to the amount they once had. I'm just going to say it outright. Although, they will hire staff when they feel it necessary.

EDIT: Just remembered, the mods are assigned to certain servers, but they are almost never on them. Think of it like a soccer game:

When one player leaves his position to go after the ball, it leaves an open space. Then, one of the players close by needs to move to that spot and cover that player. Then another player moves to cover the one that moved to cover his buddy, and so on.

All in all, it puts the whole line up off, out of order, and ruined. Then, the team (mods) can't work together, and a player from the other team (some type of rule breaker) slips bye and gets a shot on net. By then, out last line of defense is the goalie (Normal Players). We have the most op power of all: The power to report. Without that, many goals would be scored (rule breakers would get by).

 

In the previous threads I was complaining about the large amount of hackers on the server and nothing is being done about it. I provided a solution and the moderator acted like it wasn't there and locked the thread. I mentioned the solution again so the moderator would tell me if the plan could work, but he locked the thread again and asked me why I was continuing the argument (He again ignored the solution I posted). So I posed the solution again so maybe he would open his eyes and give me feedback.. I doubt he will.

 

1. Report them.
2. Profit.

 

Alrighty, took a look at your other thread. Homie made his point too many times, quit complaining and deal with the facts Moderatos can't be online 24/7 watching everything going on.

 

I do, but that takes way too long and too much effort on the players part (we are lazy). It is the staffs job to get rid of hackers not the player. There are plenty of minigame servers without a hacker problem, why is it so bad on this one?

 

If a player chooses to be lazy, then they have themselves to blame only. It takes about 1 minute to 2 maximum to gather proof and write a report. Or if a staff member is online, contact them there. Keep in mind that a staff member's job is not a piece of cake. There's so much more to it than you know, you can't jump to conclusions saying that they're lazy or don't care.

 

All I have to say is there is a big hacker problem on the server and it is not the responsibility of the player to stop it. The player shouldn't be spending their time writing a report that might not be answered, they should be spending it enjoying the server. Nuff said.

 

True, its not our job, however you are missing the point.
Technically, its not their job either.
They receive no reward in doing this work, they do it out of the kindness in their hearts. You forget that they are just like us, and that minecraft is a game. Everyone should have fun.
People forget that moderators can just leave at their choosing, but they don't. They choose to do this. And they can choose not to as well.
You can't expect them to serve us like we own them.
You forget that they are our age, and they play minecraft solely for entertainment. You say that players should spend time having fun on the server. Have you not considered that they are players as well?
That is inconsiderate and ungrateful of you to think that way.

True, there may be some issues, but there is no need to start laying blame on others. You could have been more civil and discussed this maturely and responsibly, and I do agree that some of your ideals could be taken into consideration, but still.

 

We're not asking them to be on 24/7. We are asking them to stop complaining about the amount of work they have to do. I've asked a mod how much they really have to do, and they replied "We really don't have much work to do.". But the fact that its their job to do it and their asking for less work doesn't make any sense. If they are complaining about the work they got promoted knowing what they would have to be doing, they shouldn't be mod then.

 

They knew what they were getting themselves into when they applied. No one forced them to apply. If they can't do their job we will gladly let them step down and make room for people that will actually do what they are supposed to do.

 

ok listen.
1) this isn't a job, the mods are here to HELP
2) the mods have life too you know, they can't be on 24/7 as people said here, they are not robots, they are normal people that have school, meybe even a job, family, and more
3) insulting mods will not lead anywhere
4) they are doing the best they can, if you noticed (or haven't) theres more than 2000 people on the server, they can't control all of them

lets see YOU owning a server and trying to control all the hackers, and only after that tell us how "bad" the mods are doing.

 

Not my job to control the hackers, I didn't sign up for it. Sorry, but moderating the server is fro people with no lives. If you think you can't dedicate most of your free time to the server resign.
