Afterlife {CHAPTER ONE “Death is just a statement”}


“It was supposed to be a normal day...” Everly said nearly breaking out in tears.


THAT AFTERNOON


“So what would you do if I died?” Everly said jokingly. “Well… I guess I would curl up in a ball and die too!” Matthew exclaimed. “Okay…” Everly said, she got up from the blanket on the wet grass and gave Matthew a kiss. “I’ve got to go home to help mom with dinner, see you tomorrow!” “Okay… See Ya’” Matthew said as he frowned. Everly started walking away. She heard footsteps behind her so she started to speed up. She got to her front door as she ran inside and locked the door, As any sane person would do if they thought someone was following them. “Mom! I’m home…” Everly heard a loud thud on the ground coming from upstairs. “MOM?” She ran upstairs and suddenly froze, She fell to the ground. “Great Charlie it was only meant to be a robbery now you’ve made it a murder.” The strange man in the mask said. I look up and see them looking at me, I see a bloody knife on the ground right next to me. My back hurts so badly. I shut my eyes and it feels like I could die.


LATER


My head hurts. I can’t move. I’m drowsy, Though I feel so refreshed, Like I’ve been asleep for days. Where am I? It looks endless… I’m laying on nothing. I get up and feel a sharp pain in my back. I touch it and It’s bleeding, The wound is deep, like a knife wound. “Welcome, Everly. Please walk through the door” The suspicious voice said The I look around “Who said that?” I said. “Well me of course!” “Okaaay” I twisted the knob on the door that looked like it was floating.
