And, in the early days of the band Gerard was a severe alcoholic. In 2003-2004 Gerard drank, a lot. and he smoked a lot but that's another story. He soon got up the point, and he was about to kill himself, and he started to do other drugs. Soon he hit rock bottom, and it was about a week of rock bottomness. I'm really happy that he pulled through that He recovered in just 19 days. He's been clean for years.
