Well I also expetience this on skyblock and its not really something can help. We call it blocklag, just not able to place and break blocks inmediately. It is mostly caused by lag I believe, but unfortunately not a ton can be done about it.
This happens when the server can't track how many people are online on Skyblock, this does happen to me at night usually. It's either your internet or the server can't track how many people are on. (50 - 100 players.)
