How to deal with Trolls.

So recently, as a lot of you know, Ralphet came back. If you don't know who they are, he/she's a person who comes and spams the forums with random crap that isn't allowed.
What I want to do is address a problem that's occurred when the forums gets trolled like this.
Many MANY people tend to respond to these posts.
Not only that, they tend to post on their profiles as well.
Why? Not sure. Maybe they like it.
Maybe they think they're helping.
But I'm here to tell you to please stop.
You are not helping the situation. You are only making it worse.
Do you know how trolls work?
They feed off the responses that people give.
Whether it be good.. Bad.. Or anything.
It encourages them to keep going because they think it's funny.
They're laughing at your posts.
How do you stop trolls?
By ignoring it. They will be dealt with by us.
There is no reason what-so-ever for you to "feed the troll"
Take my words of advice and use them in case a situation like this happens again.
Don't respond. Report it. Same goes for flame wars.

Oh well.
Another note.
If you think you are being smart because you insulted a troll, then such is not the case.
Think for yourself and make wise decisions over ones fueled by rage.

The point is, is to just REPORT and IGNORE them.

 

Adding on, if you even try to argue with a troll, think about this before considering: You may care, but he doesn't. You take things seriously, and he finds it funny. You're fighting a lost battle from the start.

 

See this is exactly the type of person I am. I generally steer away from the trolls and the spammers and I don't get involved with it. Just don't infer and you'll be all right

Update: Ralphet is perma-banned.
Don't celebrate just yet though. They won't be the only troll to cross our forums.

 

an easy way to deal with trolls is ignore them and give them a warning but if they continue burn their house down
