Honestly surprised this hasn't been made yet... Anyways, pitcher Yordano Ventura his passed away in a car crash in the Dominican Republic. He was 25 years old. He was the Royals ace, an upcoming star with a fiery attitude. (Personally, I never liked the guy, but, being a baseball fan, I still cried.) Just like Jose Fernandez, he had a promising career ahead of him. Achievements: Named to All Star Futures Game TWICE. Won World Series with Kansas City Royals in 2015. Recent horrifying news: Ventura was found alive in his car, but instead of being helped, was robbed of everything including his World Series ring. RIP Yordano Ventura June 3 1991 - January 22 2017
Whether you liked him or not, you need to remember that he was still a human at the end of the day. He had a family, and he loved the sport that we all know and enjoy. What happened to him was tragic and devastating, even knowing that this one person had the opportunity to do something and instead robbed him..leaving Yordano for death... He will be forever be missed, and remembered as a very talented young man that was taken from us too soon.
Toxicology reports haven't been made public yet, but I read the dude had a history of drunk driving. He put so many damn people at risk when he didn't learn from his past mistakes. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt either, and that should be a lesson to people who think seat belts are inconvenient. He was an asshole on the field. I can make a large playlists of the brawls/altercations he started. Him and Volquez were brutal. I hate Royals fans that say to not talk about this stuff now, but why is that? Am I not allowed to say that he was a punk on the field and caused unneccesary drama? I didn't like him, but it's a shame he's gone. It goes to show that your decisions really affect others and if you want to remembered in a good way, don't fuck up.
No alcohol in his system... but yeah. Complete ass on the field. (Who starts a fight against Mike Trout like cmon) I mean, its terrible that he's gone, and I do think that he would've changed his behavior on the field in the next year or so, but you just don't start fights with almost every AL team.
