So whenever I go on a plane I get bored of watching movies, can't sleep and ALWAYS feel sick. If anyone can tell me how they survive the long trips, advice would be appreciated.
To avoid struggles to sleep and sickness, you could always pop a sleeping pill before the flight. If not that you could always try to get something that distracts you from feeling sick. Example: Stress ball laptop phone ipod some planes have screens to watch movies on To my memory, my first flight I was so scared, had a sickness feeling as well. At the airport that sold these little gummy lollies that you eat and they calm you down etc. For the struggle of falling asleep, you can try pulling an all nigther the night before the flight, so then you will be tired for the flight. Hope this helps, and good luck.
I used to get airsick too, so before boarding I would usually chew some Gravol to calm my stomach. If that doesn't work and you still feel bad, you can ask the flight attendant for some ginger ale and they usually have it. As for boredom, if you have a DS and some games to play, take that. Take more than one game in case you get bored of the game you're playing. Pokemon is a pretty good time waster, as are puzzle games if you're into those.
Hard lollies are great for a motion sick feeling. I am given them all the time on camps. Look out the window and see the view. Imagine things, day dream. Yanno?
As a frequent flyer, I usually bring my laptop or iPad in the baggage, so I can use them. Once, I had to take an 18 hour flight straight from New Delhi to Chicago, but I passed the time watching movies, and playing offline games on the laptop. If you're with family, I recommend you bringing some easy to use board games to play with them.
