My new mates

So, I've really wanted to get venus fly traps for fucking soooo long. I finally got some! I just want to show them off to everyone because they're so bloody cool.

So, this is Vince, my first plant:

And the next day I had to get a second one, so this is Vasilis:


This is them together in my hectic plant setup: (Vasilis on the left, Vince on the right)


Vince has already caught 3 flys and 1 small beetle, I got Vasilis just tonight so he hasn't got anything yet.

I'm so keen to see them get so big, they're just so cool to look at. I recommend everyone get one of these, they are just that cool. However, do your research though, they are quite different to grow compared to your average plants. I've never had one before, so I just studied the shit out of how to grow them, and I'll see how they go.

I've also got a video of Vince catching his first fly, I wasn't planing to upload any videos but fuck it, I wanna show youse. The video doesn't have sound because my mum and I was just really pumped about it catching it and yeah, silly Australian voices of excitement shall not be heard.

Yes, I know I didn't get a good angle on the capture of the fly, I actually wasn't expecting it to go that way, especially for the small head to catch it. If youse want to see more videos, just let me know, I can keep posting Vince and Vasilis captures here. If I get no responses about wanting more vids, I wont bother. My apologies for filming vertically as well, like I said, I wasn't planing to upload this anywhere. If I make more videos, they will be better quality.

 

Venus fly traps are so cool! I would like to have one but I got no money and from what I have seen they are really expensive.

 

Mine were $7 each mate from my local hardware store, cheap as!
