who's your favourite/least favourite u.s president

it's in the title of the thread.....

my favourites, george washington, james buchanan, or barack obama

my least favourites, thomas jefferson, Ronald regan, and richard Nixon and the worst Andrew Jackson

 

Reagan, Lincoln, and Kennedy were all great presidents, they brought a lot of change for the better.

Andrew Jackson and Nixon are my least favorite, Jackson committed crimes that would not go unpunished now, and Nixon spied on his own people, and was one of the few presidents to be impeached.

 

My least favorite presidents would have to be Mr. Jimmy Carter and Mr. Barack Obama, worst presidents of our time in my opinion.
My favorite Presidents would have to be George Washington, Ronald Reagon, and Lincoln, and I have a lot of reasons for having them as my favorites as well, many of which have been listed already by @JokerBen .

Obama I dont mind as a person, hes actually really cool and I respect him a lot. His presidential policies arent the best however.

It wasn't as much as the president's fault the depression happened, as it was the people as a whole. Back then, there were not that many skilled economists, and everyone agreed that minting more money would have helped the economy, but it instead made the dollar weaker, and caused the markets to crash.

 

Favorites:
Obama- Revolutionary president and has done countless things to help our country. He has good values and morals, which I really can't say our next president has but I won't get into that. Obama also outlawed inhumane interrogation techniques shortly after he got into office. He's done so many good things for our country and doesn't deserve the bad reputation people give him.
Lease favorites:
Ronald Reagan- He refused to take action over AIDS for 7 years when there were around 30,000 known deaths because of it and at least 60,000 reported cases. It's a major reason why AIDS/HIV are major epidemics today.
Andrew Jackson- He was a terrible president for what he did to the national bank and the Native Americans. He doesn't deserve to be on the $20 bill.

 

Reagan wasn't a bad president at all. His regulations and supply-side economic policies greatly improved the american economy. He also cleaned up the mess Carter left behind. As for the AIDS epidemic, the WHO could have handled it, and the CDC could have sent out an official notice warning about the epidemic, all Reagan did was deny funding for CDC, he didn't explicitly ignore AIDS. It's not his fault AIDS became widespread.

 

This thread is about opinions so I gave mine. I said he was a major factor- not the only factor.
I'm not gonna debate this because that's not why I commented on this thread.

 

I don't like all except Obama because he's the only one I really know and I can believe he's good.

This is, "Who is your favorite/least favorite president of the United States."

And before anyone says anything, you can't say that Trump is your least favorite/favorite president, he has not even done anything yet, therefore even making the mention of Trump irrelevant here.

 

Once Trump's term starts, it won't be that bad. Sure, he is going back in some of the things he said, but the things he went back on are for our benefit as a whole. I mean, US stocks have been rising a lot lately, (maybe coincidentally because of Black Friday.) But Trump won't be a bad president like a lot of people say.

Even though I'm british, I've been interested in American politics for many reasons (The main one being that my Girlfriend lives in florida and I don't get confused with what she talks about) and I guess the main presidents I've studied that I can categorise into favourite/least favourite would be:

Favourite: Abe Lincoln because he seemed to do a lot that changed history for the better, Obama because once again, he did a lot that revolutionised the modern world and how we see it.

Least favourite: come back to me on that, I'll edit it in when I can remember who it was.

 

Bernie Sanders would've been a great president. Jill Stein too.
But I really liked Obama.
And I hate Trump
