Why does it always have to be green? is it something related to the first motherboard made? is it so it's distinct over all the other computer parts? It's just so strange.
The colouring used on the motherboard, as stated by @RegionalAtBest , is because of the natural elements found in the specific tone. Yet as the age of motherboards progress, it is now easy to change the colour with the use of dyes and different paints, for before it was an unnecessary waste of money, for 'retro-tech' was not made to be shown off as of today.
