Not just that. A lot of players on this server only knew their existence because they watch their Youtube videos, and to do it so that many people will be able to watch them, Jerry and harry must be FAMOUS on the Internet. That means having a popular and active channel so that more and more people will know who they are. The reason why there aren't any new players joining the server is simple: They simply don't know who they are.

J&H isn't dying,

A lot of people aren't really coming because of school, The weekends is where the chat fills up with a lot of people, lot of people got banned for reasons that should be private.

 

I strongly agree with this. But I do believe we should all run my new campaign called "Making Jerry And Harry Playable Again." With this new Campaign we can fix the rep of the server and make it more playable again. (I agree mostly with the school part because I have asked players all day yesterday that haven't been on in awhile why they haven't been playing.)

 

J&H isn't dying. Are we in a recessive position? Yes. But we are still going beyond surviving. Dying is at a point of "not surviving", and we are far from it. Work is being done in the staff team to help fight this recession of players, but school just started so there is not much we can do at the moment. We also need to account that Summer is a season of heightened activity, making this current time look worse than it is. And We, the staff team, owners, builders, donors, playerbase, ect., are all observant about the community's activity, and we all care for it. Just remember that :)

 

Dying means approaching death. We BELIEVE that the server is dying because of the 4 reasons I've stated above, and we are certain that this server has gone downhill, and will die out soon if nothing is done. Sure, J&H's server will not shut down, but what I mean by 'dying', is regarding it's drop in popularity over the past 2 years. I'd add a 5th Reason: Lack of mods + Hackers. Another reason why people decided to quit or to leave the server is because of the hackers roaming around the server, and the number of mods are miserably small in order to encounter them. Also I'll tell you this: Even if the problem of the hackers are improved, it's impossible to ban 100% of the hackers, and those who have already left the server, will not return I suppose. keeping hackers off the server can only prevent people from leaving/quitting this community and go into other ones. What we need is J&H to be famous and well-known, so that new people will actually join our server and enjoy it.

 

We have to take into consideration that Minecraft is a seven year-old game and a lot of people are growing out of it. A majority of the people leaving are ones that only came on for the mini games and weren't exactly there to socialize. A bulk of the community's main reason they come on to the server is to hang out with friends (Yes, I'm aware they play mini games with their friends as well). But as a lot of others have stated above, it's in the middle of school year and a lot of people don't have time, that's most likely the main reason for the recent decline.

J&H haven't given up on the server and still care about it, that is certain. Although I would like to see more effort put into getting new mini games out, I'm sure they're doing their best.

This server is still very much alive and has a great community, I don't see it dying anytime soon.

I strongly agree with this, this is why I applied for staff. I best not talk about it in case it gets denied.

 

It's not dying. The server doesn't even have a heart or any organs so it's not dying if it isn't even alive. its just a fun place where people meet and play but sometimes can't because of school or being busy or time zones.

In my opinion, the server is indeed dying. Some of the reasons cannot be controlled, but I'll try my best to name them all:

Controllable:
Minigames: Honestly, we need newer and more unique minigames. Also, not as many PVP related ones.
Video production: I know that a lot of you may not agree with this one. But their videos is how I found them, so I'd like you to put that into consideration please.
Advertising: I think that's self explanatory

Uncontrollable:
Players losing interest in MC: Can't help when you've been playing a game for maybe 3-4 years and it starts getting old or annoying.
Being "famous": Some people just lose interest because of the 'famous' people dominating.

There are ways to improve the server and broaden the community. The only thing that I know for certain is if something isn't done, the server will continue its' path down the road of death. (But have hope, that won't be for a long time).

 

I don't think it's particularly dying I see many players online.
