Message for staff: I am not sure if this is placed in the right section or not, I thought that this thread could be posted here in General Discussion or Server Discussion. Anyway, I'm not sure about the placement, so if you guys and girls think otherwise and think it should be moved, then do so!

So, I decided to make this thread simply due to the all the memories I have collected over the years on this server, so enjoy reading through the experiences that I can remember to the best of my ability.
    ------------
So, I am sure most of you reading this have been here for a good while, maybe even longer than that, some of us have been here for years. That does not matter.
As you probably noticed by now, the purpose of this thread is to simply delve back into the past, a recollection and retelling of what I have gone through for the last few years related to the server, new and old.
Before I continue, I would like to explain how this thread will be built instead of jumping right into it, so we're all on the same boat.
I will give a description of who I was in the past, then after that I will just go and tell some stories that I can remember from my past here on the server.
Simple really, but I wanted to drill that into all of you so everyone can understand.

    ---------------------------------
So to go into detail about who I was, if I wanted to be simplistic about this, I could just say, "I was just 12-13" but then there would be no point to me typing this.
Yes, that is how old I was, I am ever-closer to being sixteen now though.
I would describe myself to, for the most part, be that one "cringey" kid.
I always tried to either be funny, or just run my mouth without any idea what I am exactly talking about, or I was extremely careless at some moments.
I even told white lies sometimes.
For the most part, I am describing my younger self as annoying and stereotypical.
I stood out from the group though, I always was.. an interesting part of the group to put it frankly.

However, much to my liking, I used to be a hardcore, avid Minecraft player, I knew basically everything about this game two years ago. Now, it's completely faded and my skill is a shadow of its former self. I was known for being annoying, but I also was known for being helpful as well.
Even in my earlier days, I used my skill myself and for others, I always helped my friends in almost anything they needed it in. I think that's one of the reasons they kept me around in the first place.
That's besides the point though, point was, while I would not describe myself as mature in any way back then, I was good at the game and I liked helping my friends do things as well.

Oh, and I was kind of a troll back then also.
Not like that troll that went out of his way to hurt others, but I had my own way of doing it.
I applied my likeness and skill of the game to my advantage, I liked using redstone and using creative to get a laugh. This did not include griefing of any kind, because I was opposed to that.
Instead, I preferred a mild form of trolling, to simple annoy anyone I had contact with, (and I was very good at it!)
Ranging to random spawning of mobs where they should not be, or to creating noise machines.
This part here plays a huge part of who I was.
Now thay you fully understand who I was back then, let's get into the meat of the thread.
    ----------------------------------
This is the first thing that I can remember about the time I was on the server.
So, let's bring us back to around late 2013 shall we? I don't remember the exact dates, and that one can be way of as well, but I have zero way of knowing when this took place, so let's act like this is true.

So, about maybe a week or two after I discovered that this server existed, I was coming on almost every day for a hours on end.
I mainly enjoyed the old Survival server, and I remember almost everything about that old house as well. The house in question started off as a one-floor house and then grew up to be a three-story house by the time I moved out.
So, by this time, I have gotten the jist of what the servers about, and I was building my house.
Unfortunately for me, I was also building it in unclaimed land, so anyone of any sorts could come by and do whatever.
So, I remember my first time being griefed by another player.
The greifer in question, I guess I thought I made, 'friends' out of this guy, and he was suppostedly helping me get my house built up.
Long story short, I went mining for some materials, and by the time I got up the majority of my house was griefed, (ironically though, he left my chests alone) and my house was an utter wreck.
I remember being angry at said man, which anyone would be in said situation, and I renounced our 'friendship'.
He left, and I was left to repair any damages to my low-quality house.

This is what caused me to hate people who did stuff like he did, so from that moment on I never once did anything like he did.
Something interesting I think I should point out, is that this guy in question also had his own faction and his own cronies close to my house, which my the time I discovered this, I have rebuilt and have claimed for myself so nobody could grief it again.
I also made sure that nobody could get in my house either.
Anyway, so from that point on until I moved out of that house, I always had these guys moving in the area, and I remember having major skirmishes with this faction as well.
Funny though, because I won every single time, and I stole all of their stuff, and it was always a 1v3 match. I think it was just because I had better armor and better equipment, but still.
I even remember at one point one of them PVP-logged, so what I did was hilarious.
I build a big box around where he last was, and filled it with lava, so when he logged back in, he would die with his stuff anyway. Genius plan on my part.
So that is all I can remember about my first few weeks on the server, so moving on!

I am sure some of you were familiar with the old forum, because I surely am, I remember all the old systems and some of the inside jokes.
Me, on the old forum, I remember joining for the first time because I liked this server so much, (I am presuming) and I kind of just started posting random stuff, and I remember being fixed on a staff rank for some reason for a decent while. I know that that's a little vague, but that is literally all I remember of that because it was so long ago.
Anyway, the first event I can remember is what I was interested in at that time.
I used to love the memes at that time, a little too much. Anyone remember the "This is Sparta" meme? For some reason, I thought that was bloody hilarious, and most of the forum back then did also, because all of us back then were younger also, still making a name for ourselves as community members.
I, for one, was definately not among the 'popular' members of the community, not by far.
At most, I had a positive reputation of 24+ rep. Not that popular, very few people knew my name.

    Well, until I joined TeamSpeak.
I remember for the first few days, I did not even use my voice because I was nervous and had a extremely high-pitched voice, which I was aware that people were not very fond of, but I remember talking to community members such as @PyromancerMagic and @Mrcee .
Very few people knew that last name, but I know some of my friends here are familiar with it.
    I also remember meeting @John_0696, @RocWolfTheHunter , and @MiddayLycanroc .
Very good people, and I am surprised that they were able to even tolerate my back then, because I was one of 'those' kids mostly.
For the next year, I would always be with my old friends, just talking and having a good time, like a lot of other people were doing as well, almost parallel to me. Everyone back then had someone as a friend back on the old server. That's why everyone loved it so much.
This is all I can remember on this particular topic.

Yes, this server. I am not even sure I can talk about this here, but whatever, I'm not going to say, "Hey, let's all go to this server" so I guess so can.
This server back then is where some of us in my old circle of friends back then would go as some sort of meeting place or just a complete side-grade to the IJAH server at the time.
So before I actually go and tell my specific story I want to tell, let me go into context and explain what we would do on this other server in the first place and what part I played in it.
So, the role I played in this is that me and my friends would go on the server, (some more active than others, it's how my best friend at the time @Mrcee got along) and we would work together on a variety of things, such as doing quests, or just goofing off in general.
This is also where I began to become closer friends with @SlamStoneMC .

So, with that said, let's move on to one of many stories I could tell about this huge part in my participation in the community.

On this server, I was at a certain point to where I was referred to as, "Max-Level" and to get to that point you must be skilled in some aspects.
I had a lot fun being at this stage in my 'career' on this server.
I always liked being in the position of power with this position back then, but I never used it entirely for selfish reasons.
I remember when I used to talk to lower-level players, and guide them and help them achieve their goals, whether to reach places they should not be, or just do favors for them in general.
I want to tell you all about one thing specifically about this.
At the time, this probably isn't the same now, but the biggest and the most dangerous area in the map is the city and the area around it called 'Troms'.
And, that required you to at least be a certain level before you could survive there.
And as you could imagine, all the lower level players would want to go there too.
    And guess what I did?
I was their tour-guide, and I escorted lower level people into the area and to check out the city, and I was escort them back to the main area, and I was almost always successful.
I did it for a few reasons:
    1. Their reaction was priceless.
    2. Sometimes if I was in a bad mood I would have them charge me a small fee of a million dollars.
    3. Higher level people would be astonished to see a very low level person in this high-level area, and their reactions were priceless.
    It was fun!
I have so many more, but I don't want to drag this along too far, and I must move on to prevent basically writing an entire book!

Anyone remember this? A am sure a lot of you do, especially you older members.
If you don't know, don't fret, I'm going to tell you.
This was a very popular faction back in the day, it when was at its absolute height, it had supreme dominance in the old survival server.
Now, since this is a retelling of my past, let me tell you how exactly I joined the faction in the first place.

First and foremost, back when I still had my own faction, considering how I was essentially all alone until this point, still living in a two-floor house you could imagine I would want to ally myself or just simply join another one.
    It's exactly what your thinking.

I remember that EnderTacos had a special reputation on the server, and I of course wanted to be apart of said faction.
There happened to be a thread on the old forum at the time where you could fill out a format to apply to be apart of this said faction, so I jumped on the bandwagon of people rushing to fill out this application.
Fortunately for me, I got accepted, because I made clear to everyone I talked to that I was good at this game, rather narcissistic, but it payed off here, because I was able to prove it.
The second I heard I got accepted, I hopped on the server and asked for an invite, which of course I got, and accepted immediately.
This sparked a whole new vision for me on the server.
From there on out, I would be apart of this faction to see its very end, its rise and fall. I got to see it all first hand. I'm overstepping myself here, so let's back track a little.

My first time stepping ground on the actual faction was astonishing for me, the place was basically scattered with floating buildings, random houses, farms and whatever you could think of because so many people were in the faction.
This basically meant there was no space for me to actually build a house.
For me? I did not care, I just set my chests down somewhere and kind of just lived there, because the area around it was so scattered and lit up so mobs would not spawn, so you can see why I did not care in the first place.
Fortunately this did not last long, because the owner of the faction, (which I am sure most of you have heard of) decided to go claim some new land far out into the wilderness, which nobody has yet to touch.
This, was a very important event for all of us. I was present and with the entire group when everyone that had some authority in the faction was going around claiming land which would later turn out to be where people would build their homes, and was permanent residence for us until the server was revamped, resetting the survival server.
I was the first to finish my house on the new plot, and the last to leave it.

So another thing I had a reputation for back then was single-handedly killing Wither bosses and giving out nether star's to people.
    No joke.
When I completed my new house, by that time I had been on the server for at least about half a year, so I had amassed a lot of resources by then, enabling me to do whatever I wanted in my small confinement of land I claimed for myself.
I don't remember where the nether portal was, but it was open to everyone to use.
Anyway, I set home in some place in the Nether, built a place to farm mobs and put a skeleton spawner in the little 'farm' I made where I had to manually kill wither skeletons, effectively producing wither skulls over time so I could kill wither bosses.
The place I build this little farm at was also claimed by the faction of course, obviously so nobody could come along and troll to their hearts content.
So, from that day forward, I had made for myself a reputation for being good at the game, and giving out stuff. Ironically I was not the popular, only people inside the faction really knew me, but hey, I enjoyed it nonetheless.
And who cares, isn't this game and everything in it for enjoyment and having fun?
Hopefully your not the kind of people to just skim though this, because it took a lot of time to type this. Forgive the grammar.

That event took place at least two years ago, unless you had a minecraft account at that time, then I am pretty sure that is impossible.
