After quite a huge amount of years, scientists have confirmed the largest living organism on earth, the Great Barrier Reef, is now dead(not entirely, just a huge portion). People are putting responsibility on the death of it on humans. I don't know whether to agree or disagree, but I want to know what everyone thinks.
I definitely think it's our fault. The great barrier reef has been fine until the most recent hundreds of years, where humans have hit a population and technological boom. We are constantly putting pollution into the natural world around us. There's even a collection of trash floating in the pacific ocean the size of the state of Texas.(268,597 mi²/695,662 km²). The bi-products of our civilization are effecting everything around us. We are constantly polluting the air, and eventually this will lead to the depletion of natural resources, and ultimately towards the death of our planet. The glaciers and the poles themselves are melting. This is raising our sea level so rapidly that in 20 years, most of Florida and California will be under water, along with some of Europe, Africa, and Asia. Global Warming isn't a rumor created by the Chinese. It's a real thing that can't be ignored. People need to stop being ignorant and work towards stopping it. To recap on the answer to your question - Yes, humans have definitely caused this. We're killing our planet fast, and we're to ignorant to realize it. The people that are stopping us from saving our planet and our future are people who make money off of factories and fracking. That's our problem.
