Minecraft Is Minecraft really Dying? (Discussion)

I think if Minecraftcame out with a lot more updates that people would like it may gain more popularity. Such as a villager update (something I think they should update) or something else. If they began adding a lot more mobs, blocks, biomes, etc there would probably be a spike in sales once again. But it's not dying. I'm getting a little bored but not too bored. Servers just need a lot of new and original mini games that people would enjoy. Not saying people don't enjoy them just most of the non original minigame a get a bit boring because they're so popular and a lot of people enjoy them. Ever since last year I've been playing a minigame called footcube (not trying to advertise) on mc origins. It's soccer in minecraft and it's a great minigame. (No they didn't copy hypixels minecraft rocket league). Sadly it's a small community of players that play. We also have events like world cups in footcube. So I think J&H should have tournaments or events for each minigame. That all I have to say (sorry for the essay.)

 

I think over the many years I have played minecraft there has been times where minecraft has been more popular and I am disappointed with the change in popularity over the past year. With Microsoft taking over and recent versions there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the game. Many people have left as of this but many people have also left because they feel that they are too old for the game. Minecraft is supposed to be game for all ages in exploring the creativity of ones mind, I think minecraft has achieved its goal in doing so and will continue to in the future. All of these people that are leaving not just the jerryandharry community but the minecraft community as a whole will eventually come back to minecraft and enjoy it again but most people rotate round games and then come back to them in future months or years. Many people in years to come will return to the minecraft and jerryandharry community.

In terms of the popularity of jerryandharry, people are saying the server is dying. This is what it may seem at first but when you look at it in perspective, over the weekends you have much larger turnouts of people and during the summer there was record numbers since months ago! All that has happened here is that everyone is getting back to their daily lives, their daily routine. So the server isn't dying members are just busier in their lives and thats why the server still has more members on during holidays and weekends.

Overall I think that jerryandharry have done a great job in maintaining a great and exciting server especially with hardcore factions and the new reset. There is plenty more to improve on the server I agree but they have made a great start and I believe they will continue to do so in the future. As I have posted on various other threads, the server just needs to be advertised more so the member count can rise even higher. As for the community, from all I have seen and read, the community is amazing and I am finally happy to be part of it!

 

I haven't said this, but I may leaving soon and many people are leaving probably because why I am.

1. We have lives, as we grow we got to move on.
2. It's repetitive and really boring.
3. No one is even nice anymore.
4. No one is unique anymore.
5. Nothing to do...
6. Work

EDIT: Maybe it's dying because 7 year olds are busting in on the game. This is probably because teachers use Minecraft as some education system, or it's a trend. With the children with no knowledge flood in, all the people who are smart and fun to be with leave.

 

MC is dying, imo.

This is mostly due to:

• Mojang fucking up the game with unneeded, terrible, or overcomplicated features
• The reputation of the community
• People who have been playing it for a while are getting bored of it
• Etc etc
