I'm losing my patience.

I hardly see any staff log on to factions maybe when people sign up for staff that should be directed to that game mode or something

 

There's a few reasons for that. First, staff will log on to factions, but it's not always for prolonged periods of time. A way of moderating is playing along with the game, which is hard in factions. It's hard to be in factions for a long time or even be into factions as a staff member because the game requires a lot of time put in to get gear and materials. In other mini-games like OITC or parkour, staff can easily moderate effectively while watching chat and playing a few games. Factions is just not the same way. Yes, fun is not required of the job, but fun obviously sways people's choices.

Also, factions is hard to moderate if you're not a mod or higher, so half of the staff team is not going to even bother with it (there are obviously exceptions). Let's be honest. Chat related issues are not even 5% of problems in factions, and people are always finding new ways to cheat. Catching them gets harder and harder. The amount of time spent on factions to catch one hacker after someone tells you to spectate them while they fight in some super secret base (after luring the hacker there) can be used to ban many more hackers from sumo, oitc, etc. There's just not enough time to be a consistent enough presence on factions to help catch all the hackers, glitchers, dupers, and cheaters if you're trying to moderate all the games.

Lastly, when a moderator logs on to factions (at least back when I was staff), he/she gets bombarded with messages asking to solve many issues. It's hard to make everyone happy when they throw messages at you. You don't know who to help because what if you waste all your time on a false hacking accusation? It can be overwhelming...just putting that out there.

 

Xcel you do not understand how bad staff are ... even a mod+ get annoy how slow and only few of them are on ...when u make a report a hacker it took like 3 days before they reply and they denied it even if its an obvious hack .. i reported xclay_ hacking and it got denied slevin got a vid too ...

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to make staff seem innocent or make excuses for them, just hear me out :)

The reason why staff don't always take immediate action with /report is that it's only necessary when immediate action is required. I'd also like to note:


Now don't get me wrong, staff should be active, and they should be reasonable. But you can never be perfect. My reasoning is that staff have lives just like normal players do, and as requirements to be staff have increased to ages 13+, staff are most likely upperclassmen in school and have much more work than their younger days of school, which means they have real life issues to deal with, especially since school is starting around this time of year. :D

Another thing you meant for a hacking report with video evidence is because staff may have a hard time deciding on whether the player is hacking or not. The server's connection is really bad right now (I assume you'd know if you've been timing out a lot), so sometimes it's hard to tell if a player is using hacks, or just lagging ;)

In conclusion, I'm not defending staff, I'm not saying they're perfect, or saying that they're making no mistakes, I'm just saying possible reasons why staff wouldn't be replying quickly enough. Also, I agree with you on some points. Some staff would say complaining is drama and whatnot, but in my opinion, constructive criticism is always a good thing!

ok i totally totally agree with this ... for me even if the school year starts or even if its summer vacation we cant still see lot of online staff members , we always hear these reasons that they have lives they have irl stuff to do which i understand.. on the application form one of the question there is How active you are in game or in forums and im pretty sure you wont get a applicant with just like 3 hours playing or active in forums twice a week .. about my report ive been reporting this guys twice already and if u know on my first report i wrote there that slevin has recorded video too slevin was there /vanish and see us fighting with this hacker he want to permanent ban him and he is a MOD+ then why u didnt ask hin about it why that my report got denied is it because he has a EXPENSIVE rank? on my 2nd report it is a more efficient proof but idk why my report got deleted?.. ik you guys arent perfect but atleast give more effort to understand to have a lot of patience ... then for the last question i notice all of the thread about staff members, why i cant see owner or admin taking place into this ,feels like they do not care...

Well, a player does something wrong and knows what they're doing is punishable, they get warned/muted/tempbanned/banned, and then they get mad and are confused why.

 

I really like the staff on J and H it is so helpful and good. But yea maybe they were busy doing something else
