If you are the type that needs trigger warnings in today's society because of people's opinions, click off this thread now. Danke.

So, welcome back to another rant by the one and only me forum, today, as you guessed it, Global Warming.
Whether you believe it is a hoax made up by the far-left, or a real thing that we should be focusing in on, I will be (try) speaking from a neutral standpoint here, because today your hearing how it is comrades.
Most of my opinions will be put in spoilers to keep everyone from being 'triggered', except for the ones that are necessary.

We all have heard of it, we all see it differently, and we all have different ways to approach this situation.
Some of us even put Global Warming at the top of our national priorities.
Here is the deal alright? No matter how much you think the threat of 'Global Warming' is, do you ever wonder why our nations and their governments don't seem to give a damn about whether it exists or not?
This is because of a few factors actually, look at this, and these should have been obvious to everyone:

    1. Governments are more keen on not starting/stopping WW3.
    2. Some nations cannot afford to make efforts on stopping global warming.
    3. Countries will always put themselves first, which is rightfully so considering we are all in danger from ourselves.
    4. Some countries just don't care, nor will they ever will care.

    Make sense? It should have.
Another point I will have to make, nations will not just step down arms and hold hands unless aliens invade us or something, so expecting our worlds governments to put aside differences to solve this one problem will never happen.
If you guys and girls are confused on why I said, "Nations cannot afford to make efforts on stopping global warming", you should be.
Let's give a little reasoning shall we comrades?

(This is slightly outdated, remind you, don't get your panties in a bunch)
This is the where the United States gets their power from. You see that renewable energy makes up only about 13.2% of the nations power. That is not a lot, at all.
    Reasons why that is?
Because it is too damn expensive to make renewable energy, and to build.
Coal takes up 38.8% of the United States' power, which is a lot compared to everything else, and it is also one of the cleanest depending on how you use it, (I believe).
Now natural gas take second place with 27.4% of the United States' power, which is still a lot, but not as much as coal. Ecetera.
Reasons why this take up so much of the United States' power sources is because it is cheap, and easier to make, and better for business.

Now, judging by that chart above, any nation that is not our superpower, such as the European nations, Russia, and China will have a much more difficult time converting due to their economies, and everything is even more expensive over there, besides the prices in the Eurozone.
Think of it this way, the stronger the nation is, the more likely they will be producing a lot of power, so when you move down the line to weaker nations, it is even more difficult because they more than likely will have a weak economy and generate much power, so converting will cost more.
This is just a general summary, some smaller nations produce a lot more power than needed, and they do not have very good economies, so this makes it even more difficult.

..once again you have to take in the factor that most nations have some sort of debt to pay, which makes it even worse when trying to convert to renewable source, because they simply cannot pay for it.
Instead they rely on businesses to do it for them, such as the United States.

Personally, I think Global Warming does exist, but I also believe it is highly blown out of proportion by the governments by own nations. I hinted at this, but never really gave my opinion on it.
Factoring in that I think that if they truely cared so much about it, then why are not caring so much about it?
I do believe that it should be a secondary problem instead of 'Big Head Honcho Problem Number #1'.
    That's the short version.
Basically what I am trying to say is that I think it does not exist for the most part.

I know this is rather short, but I thought that someone had to say it whether or not it was short.
Regardless of that, hopefully everyone at least took something away from this.
Just take some of what I said with a grain of salt, and that is all from me today.

Global Warming should be more focused on, where I am, the effects are obvious. There's been ongoing droughts in several parts of the country for a few years, and on the other end of the spectrum, the rivers are flooding up because of melting glaciers in the Himalayas, millions of people here are affected by global warming. The state of Kerala is experiencing overwhelming floods, since it contains many swamps, literally forest floors are covered in water, and roads are being washed away. We must focus on global warming before it gets much, much worse. The polar glaciers are melting at a rapid rate, and ocean levels are rising, island countries such as Mauritius and Maldives are being threatened by the rising ocean levels. In the deserts, average temperatures are rising every year, and the climate, drier. Sadly, our world's economy wants to play it safe in economics by sticking to fossil fuels, rather than researching into more efficient, alternative energy sources.

They want to protect jobs. What they don't realize is that nuclear power is fucking amazing because it creates room for skilled and unskilled workers, has virtually no carbon emissions, and is very safe when placed properly and kept up to date. Also, nuclear power is generated whether there's flowing water or not, whether there's wind or not, and whether it's sunny or not. The day the government works with energy leaders to gradually recapitalize from fossil fuels to nuclear power is a big step for us. However, @Venom_Snake is right in that we have to find a global solution, not just a national one, and that will be way harder.
