Hey everyone! I know this is sort of a dead subject now, but I wanted to see the community's opinion about this. Counter Strike: Global Offensive Skin Gambling. If you do not know, CS:GO is a first person shooter game that has skins in it. Skins are basically knives or guns that are other colors than the other ones, and those skins have an actual value and can be resold for money. And some of those skins are worth a lot of money. So, many websites started appearing such as CSGOLotto and CSGOWild, which you can gamble your CS:GO skin's worth to get steam money. Now, a very influential YouTuber that goes by the name H3H3Productions made a video epxlaining how he disagreed with CS:GO gambling. He also called out two YouTubers: Tmartn and ProSyndicate for owning CSGOLotto. After that, ProSyndicate and TMartn got a lot of hate and the CS:GO gambling scandal, as they call it, has become larger. Now, FaZe members are accused of owning CSGOWild. Steam has now banned CS:GO gambling and Valve made it illegal. So, CS:GO gambling is now a thing of the past. But, what do YOU think? Do you think CS:GO gambling sites deserve the hate they are getting? Have you ever gambled on those sites and have you lost money? Do you think lawsuits and shutdown of CS:GO gambling sites is exaggerated? Remember to keep the conversation civilized!
I think banning gambling is a bit of an extreme response. This drama could've been prevented if Tmartn and Syndicate had just said they were the owners of that website in the first place.
